W05n0046_p0047a05║  《即興自說》是巴利三藏經藏《小部尼伽耶》中的第三經。本
W05n0046_p0047a06║經共分為八品,每品含十經,共為八十經。每經由長行和偈頌二
W05n0046_p0047a07║部分組成,長行是敘述詩體,偈頌是佛知見此事體後感興而發之
W05n0046_p0047a08║偈頌,所以這是一部佛借一事一物向眾生說法的雋永的小經,讀
W05n0046_p0047a09║起來通俗易懂。偈頌部分所含義理又發人深省,揭示出佛法在
W05n0046_p0047a10║世間,不離世間覺的道理。
W05n0046_p0047a11║  經名原作Udaana,有人轉譯為「無問自說」,有人祇譯為「自
W05n0046_p0047a12║說」,因原詞還有感興語之意,故譯為「即興自說」。

W05n0046_p0049a19║  七日已,乃從定起。時有一婆羅門來至佛所,與佛
W05n0046_p0049a20║歡聚。友善話語已畢,站立一旁,而問佛言:
W05n0046_p0049a21║  「尊敬的喬答摩,何謂婆羅門?婆羅門當為之法是
W05n0046_p0049a22║何?」
W05n0046_p0049a23║  爾時世尊,如是知已,即興而說此偈:
W05n0046_p0049a24║  除去罪法無瞋慢,斷滅煩惱可安心;
W05n0046_p0049a25║  精於吠陀持梵行,於世無貪婆羅門。

W05n0046_p0050a06║比丘走來,曰:「諸比丘,彼等婆羅門來。」爾時,一婆羅族
W05n0046_p0050a07║比丘問世尊:「世尊,何謂婆羅門?何謂婆羅門所行之

W05n0046_p0050a09║  爾時世尊,如是知已,發此感興:
W05n0046_p0050a10║  除滅諸罪惡,常住於正念;
W05n0046_p0050a11║  斷結而徹悟,世上婆羅門。

W05n0046_p0050a14║  如是我聞:一時,世尊在王捨城竹林迦藍陀園住。
W05n0046_p0050a15║爾時,大迦葉尊者住於畢缽羅窟,病重痛苦。後病癒自
W05n0046_p0050a16║思:「我當入王捨城乞食。」
W05n0046_p0050a17║  爾時五百天女踴躍而至,請尊者托缽受食。大迦葉
W05n0046_p0050a18║拒絕五百天女,於朝時著衣持缽,入王捨城,向窮困之
W05n0046_p0050a19║人、織工住區托缽。
W05n0046_p0050a20║  爾時世尊,見大迦葉尊者在王捨城窮困之人、織工
W05n0046_p0050a21║住區托缽乞食,即興說出此偈:
W05n0046_p0050a22║  不受人供不揚名,能自調御本神聖;
W05n0046_p0050a23║  諸漏已斷無過失,婆羅門者吾尊稱。

W05n0046_p0051a02║  如是我聞:一時,世尊在巴瓦城阿闍迦拉波迦鬼庵
W05n0046_p0051a03║住。爾時,世尊於黑夜坐於露天,有雨滴降落。阿闍迦
W05n0046_p0051a04║拉波迦鬼欲恐嚇世尊,使世尊毛豎膽驚,即來見佛。走
W05n0046_p0051a05║近佛時,便發出怪音:「阿古拉巴古拉!」如此三次。又
W05n0046_p0051a06║說:「惡鬼來了!」
W05n0046_p0051a07║  爾時世尊,如是知已,即興說此偈陀:
W05n0046_p0051a08║  若有婆羅門,法中品位高;
W05n0046_p0051a09║  惡鬼怪聲音,小技不足道。

W05n0046_p0051a12║  如是我聞:一時,世尊在舍衛城祇陀林給孤獨園住。
W05n0046_p0051a13║爾時,桑迦瑪吉尊者來捨衛城探望世尊。尊者舊時妻得
W05n0046_p0051a14║知尊者已到捨衛城,便攜子來至祇園。時尊者正在一棵
W05n0046_p0051a15║樹下休息。妻來到尊者面前告尊者言:「沙門,我們已有
W05n0046_p0051a16║此兒,汝當養活我們。」尊者默然不語,舊時妻便把兒子
W05n0046_p0051a17║放在尊者面前,並說:「此乃汝子,當由汝養。」說完,便自
W05n0046_p0051a18║離去。
W05n0046_p0051a19║  尊者不視此兒,亦不與語。舊時妻未走甚遠,回頭
W05n0046_p0051a20║察視,見尊者既不視兒,亦不與語,自知沙門並無憐子之
W05n0046_p0051a21║意,即抱子而去。
W05n0046_p0051a22║  世尊以清淨天眼,觀見尊者舊時妻之行徑。爾時世
W05n0046_p0051a23║尊,如是知已,即興說此偈陀:
W05n0046_p0051a24║  女來無歡喜,去亦無所慮;
W05n0046_p0051a25║  我稱婆羅門,解脫得勝利。

W05n0046_p0052a03║  如是我聞:一時,佛在伽耶城住。爾時,螺髮外道徒
W05n0046_p0052a04║眾於寒冷之冬夜雪天,在伽耶河中或沉或浮,撩水、祭
W05n0046_p0052a05║火,以為以此可得聖潔。
W05n0046_p0052a06║  爾時世尊見彼螺髮外道徒眾,於寒冷之冬夜雪天,
W05n0046_p0052a07║在伽耶河中或沉或浮,撩水、祭火,以為以此可得聖潔。

W05n0046_p0052a09║  靠水豈能得聖潔,眾人水中洗其身;
W05n0046_p0052a10║  若得真諦與正法,纔是聖潔婆羅門。

W05n0046_p0052a12║    十、婆希經
W05n0046_p0052a13║  如是我聞:一時,世尊在舍衛城祇樹給孤獨園住。
W05n0046_p0052a14║爾時,人稱「樹皮衣修行者」的婆希住於沿海的蘇帕拉卡
W05n0046_p0052a15║渡口。受人供養,受人尊重;衣、食、住、藥俱可得到。時
W05n0046_p0052a16║婆希閒坐於僻靜處,心生一念:「世上如有羅漢或進入羅
W05n0046_p0052a17║漢道者,我乃其中之一。」爾時有一天神,往世曾為婆希
W05n0046_p0052a18║親戚,心懷同情,樂於助人;知婆希所念,來至婆希住所,
W05n0046_p0052a19║告曰:「婆希,汝非羅漢,亦未登羅漢果位。汝既無羅漢
W05n0046_p0052a20║行,亦無修羅漢道之行。」婆希問道:「現前誰是人天界之
W05n0046_p0052a21║阿羅漢?誰是修證羅漢道者?」天神答曰:「北方邦國有
W05n0046_p0052a22║舍衛城,那裏有成正等正覺的阿羅漢。婆希,那位佛世
W05n0046_p0052a23║尊還講說修成阿羅漢之正法。」
W05n0046_p0052a24║  爾時婆希為天神所動,即刻從蘇帕拉卡出發;僅一
W05n0046_p0052a25║夜時間,便經過一切必經之地,到達舍衛城祇樹給孤獨
W05n0046_p0052a26║精舍。爾時,諸比丘正在野外經行,婆希即到諸比丘處
W05n0046_p0053a01║向諸比丘詢問:「大德,那位薄伽梵.阿羅漢.三藐三菩提
W05n0046_p0053a02║現在何處?我甚想拜謁那位薄伽梵.阿羅漢.三藐三菩
W05n0046_p0053a03║提。」諸比丘答曰:「婆希,世尊已入城托缽。」
W05n0046_p0053a04║  婆希即刻離開祇園,入舍衛城,見世尊托缽乞食,遊
W05n0046_p0053a05║行於城內。見世尊可親可敬,諸根寂靜,精神平和,自攝
W05n0046_p0053a06║自護,威儀妙好,一大龍象。如是見已,近至佛處,頭面
W05n0046_p0053a07║禮足而白佛言:「大德世尊,請為我說法;善逝,請為我說
W05n0046_p0053a08║長遠利益安樂之法。」
W05n0046_p0053a09║  婆希如是說已,世尊告言:「婆希,此非宜時,以入城
W05n0046_p0053a10║乞食故。」婆希再告佛言:「大德,世尊有命難或我有命難
W05n0046_p0053a11║實為難知。大德世尊,請為我說法;善逝,請為我說長遠
W05n0046_p0053a12║利益安樂之法。」世尊再次告言:「婆希,此非宜時,以入
W05n0046_p0053a13║城乞食故。」婆希三告佛言:「大德,世尊有命難或我有命
W05n0046_p0053a14║難實為難知。大德世尊,請為我說法;善逝,請為我說長
W05n0046_p0053a15║遠利益安樂之法。」
W05n0046_p0053a16║  爾時,世尊說道:「婆希,汝當學此法:見唯是見,聞
W05n0046_p0053a17║唯是聞,知唯是知,想唯是想。婆希,此為汝當學之法。
W05n0046_p0053a18║婆希,汝能於見時,唯是見;於聞時,唯是聞;於知時,唯
W05n0046_p0053a19║是知;於想時,唯是想。如是,汝可無貪無執;汝既無貪
W05n0046_p0053a20║無執,汝於此世便無再生;於下世,於此世及下世皆無再
W05n0046_p0053a21║生。此即是苦盡。」
W05n0046_p0053a22║  婆希聽世尊簡短說教,執著頓消,諸漏盡斷,心得解
W05n0046_p0053a23║脫。
W05n0046_p0053a24║  爾時世尊向婆希說此簡短教法已,便自離去。
W05n0046_p0053a25║  世尊離去未久,有一帶犢母牛,將婆希觝死於地。
W05n0046_p0054a01║  時世尊在捨衛城托缽,得食用齋已,與比丘眾離城
W05n0046_p0054a02║回返,於途中見婆希已死。既見,即告眾比丘曰:「汝等
W05n0046_p0054a03║將婆希屍體安放榻上運去荼毗,建塔供奉。諸比丘,此死
W05n0046_p0054a04║者是一位梵行者。」眾比丘答曰:「如是,世尊。」眾比丘
W05n0046_p0054a05║遵囑將婆希屍體安放榻上,運去荼毗,並造塔後,回稟世
W05n0046_p0054a06║尊,行禮已畢,坐在一旁。坐已,即問世尊:「大德,婆希
W05n0046_p0054a07║屍體已經火化,並已建塔;但不知他有何德行,來世又將
W05n0046_p0054a08║如何。」佛曰:「諸比丘,婆希是一位賢者,曾依聖法而行,
W05n0046_p0054a09║並未以問法而惱難於我。諸比丘,婆希已入涅槃。」

W05n0046_p0054a11║  涅槃境界中,無地水火風;
W05n0046_p0054a12║  無日月星光,無暗亦無明。

W05n0046_p0055a01║享解脫之樂。七日已,非時雲起,大雨突降,寒風來侵,
W05n0046_p0055a02║持續七日。時目真鄰陀龍王從其居處來至佛所,以身繞
W05n0046_p0055a03║佛,七重卷之;驤首張頸,覆護佛頂。龍王自念言:「寒氣
W05n0046_p0055a04║莫侵世尊,暑氣莫侵世尊;蠅、蚊、熱風、爬蟲莫侵世尊。」

W05n0046_p0055a06║  爾時目真鄰陀龍王知天晴無雲,乃解卷體;龍身消
W05n0046_p0055a07║失,化為青年,立於佛前,合掌禮拜。

W05n0046_p0055a09║  居靜是快樂,知法是快樂,
W05n0046_p0055a10║  無瞋是快樂,憫生是快樂。

W05n0046_p0055a12║  調伏我慢者,是為最上樂。

W05n0046_p0055a16║爾時,諸比丘托缽已回,飯食已畢,於堂室集坐閒敘:「摩
W05n0046_p0055a17║揭陀國賽尼亞.頻毗沙羅王與憍薩羅國波斯匿王相比,
W05n0046_p0055a18║誰多財物,誰多用品,誰多寶藏,誰多疆土,誰多車乘,誰
W05n0046_p0055a19║多軍力,誰多神通,誰多威武?」諸比丘眾如是談論,未有
W05n0046_p0055a20║終止。
W05n0046_p0055a21║  爾時已近黃昏,世尊從定起坐,來至堂室,敷座而
W05n0046_p0055a22║坐,問比丘眾:「諸比丘堂室集坐,有何言論?汝等談論

W05n0046_p0056a02║多神通,誰多威武。未終之時,世尊至此」。世尊曰:「諸
W05n0046_p0056a03║比丘,族姓子虔誠出家,加入僧團,如是談論,實不應該。
W05n0046_p0056a04║諸比丘,汝等集坐一處,當做之事有二,一是談說法事,
W05n0046_p0056a05║二是保持聖潔,沉默不語」。

W05n0046_p0056a08║  比起涅槃樂,微小不足道。

W05n0046_p0056a11║  如是我聞:一時,世尊在舍衛城祇樹給孤獨園住。

W05n0046_p0056a13║時,世尊著衣持缽,往捨衛城乞食。於舍衛城與祇陀林

W05n0046_p0056a15║  爾時世尊,如是見已,即興說此偈陀:
W05n0046_p0056a16║  一切眾生靈,悉皆喜安康;
W05n0046_p0056a17║  有人自尋樂,擊生以棍杖;

W05n0046_p0057a01║及種種什物。僧團眾比丘亦受人供養,受人尊重;得衣
W05n0046_p0057a02║物飲食、臥具、藥品及種種什物。而諸外道不受人供養,
W05n0046_p0057a03║不受人尊重;不得衣物飲食、臥具、藥品及種種什物。彼
W05n0046_p0057a04║等不能安忍於世尊及眾比丘得諸供養;於村莊、森林見
W05n0046_p0057a05║諸比丘,即責難、辱罵,語言低級粗俗。時諸比丘即往佛
W05n0046_p0057a06║所,行禮已畢,坐於一旁,白世尊言:「大德世尊,當今之
W05n0046_p0057a07║世,世尊受人供養,受人尊重;得衣物飲食、臥具、藥品及
W05n0046_p0057a08║種種什物。僧團眾比丘亦受人供養,受人尊重;得衣物
W05n0046_p0057a09║飲食、臥具、藥品及種種什物。而諸外道不受人供養,不
W05n0046_p0057a10║受人尊重;不得衣物飲食、臥具、藥品及種種什物。彼等
W05n0046_p0057a11║不能安忍於世尊及眾比丘得諸供養;於村莊、森林見諸
W05n0046_p0057a12║比丘,即責難、辱罵,語言低級粗俗。」

W05n0046_p0057a15║  於己於他人,苦樂皆緣「觸」;
W05n0046_p0057a16║  「觸」因有「取」蘊,無「蘊」何有「觸」。

W05n0046_p0057a19║  如是我聞:一時,世尊在舍衛城祇樹給孤獨園住。

W05n0046_p0057a21║畢,來至佛所,禮佛已畢,站立一旁。世尊問曰:「汝已久
W05n0046_p0057a22║欲來此。」居士白佛言:「大德世尊,我思念來此見佛時日
W05n0046_p0057a23║已久,祇因事務纏身,未能早來。」
W05n0046_p0057a24║  爾時世尊,如是知已,即興說此偈陀:
W05n0046_p0057a25║  知法多聞者,安樂無煩惱;
W05n0046_p0058a01║  有苦有難者,當去多關照;
W05n0046_p0058a02║  人與人之間,相愛互友好。

W05n0046_p0058a05║  如是我聞:一時,世尊在舍衛城祇樹給孤獨園住。

W05n0046_p0058a12║等各種油類十分充足,可供沙門、婆羅門敞開食用,唯不准帶出。
W05n0046_p0058a13║爾時外道心想:「波斯匿王庫中奶油酥油等各種油類十
W05n0046_p0058a14║分充足,可供沙門、婆羅門敞開食用,唯不准帶出。我何
W05n0046_p0058a15║不到波斯匿王庫中儘量足飲,回家後嘔出,可助妻產。」
W05n0046_p0058a16║  時外道來到波斯匿王庫中,足飲其油;急回家中,但
W05n0046_p0058a17║不能嘔出,亦不能瀉下,痛苦難熬,滿地翻滾。爾時世尊
W05n0046_p0058a18║於晨時著衣持缽,入舍衛城乞食,見彼婆羅門痛苦難熬,
W05n0046_p0058a19║滿地翻滾。爾時世尊,如是見已,即興說此偈陀:
W05n0046_p0058a20║  無貪無慾者,安樂無煩惱;
W05n0046_p0058a21║  得道漏盡者,自然無貪著。
W05n0046_p0058a22║  人與人之間,相愛互友好。

W05n0046_p0058a24║    七、獨子經
W05n0046_p0058a25║  如是我聞:世尊在舍衛城祇樹給孤獨園住。時一居
W05n0046_p0059a01║士有一獨生子,可親可愛,卻遭夭亡。時眾多居士身著
W05n0046_p0059a02║濕衣,頭有濕髮,正午時分來至佛所。既至,禮拜世尊,
W05n0046_p0059a03║站立一旁。佛問諸居士曰:「諸位居士濕衣濕髮,於此中
W05n0046_p0059a04║午,來此為何?」
W05n0046_p0059a05║  彼居士即白佛言:「大德世尊,我之獨子可親可愛,
W05n0046_p0059a06║卻遭夭亡。以是之故,我等濕衣濕髮,於此午時來此。」
W05n0046_p0059a07║  爾時,世尊聽已,即興說此偈陀:
W05n0046_p0059a08║  眾人眾天神,貪戀可愛相;
W05n0046_p0059a09║  遭難受痛苦,受制於閻王。
W05n0046_p0059a10║  晝夜不放逸,捨棄可愛相;
W05n0046_p0059a11║  可除貪之根,不上閻王當。

W05n0046_p0059a13║    八、蘇波婆沙經
W05n0046_p0059a14║  如是我聞:一時,世尊在軍迪亞城軍達沓那林住。

W05n0046_p0059a16║難熬,而以三念,得以安忍:念世尊正遍知說法滅苦;念
W05n0046_p0059a17║世尊聲聞弟子行為妙好,拔除此苦;念涅槃沒有這般痛

W05n0046_p0059a19║  蘇波婆沙公主告其夫言:「夫君請往佛所,頂禮佛
W05n0046_p0059a20║足,如我所說白佛,祝世尊無病無災,輕安健康。『大德
W05n0046_p0059a21║世尊,拘利耶國王女蘇波婆沙懷胎七載,難產七日,痛苦
W05n0046_p0059a22║難熬,而以三念得以安忍:念世尊正遍知說法滅苦;念世
W05n0046_p0059a23║尊聲聞弟子行為妙好,拔除此苦;念涅槃沒有這般痛苦,

W05n0046_p0059a25║  拘利耶王子依蘇波婆沙公主所囑,往見佛陀。既到
W05n0046_p0060a01║佛所,行禮已畢,坐於一旁,白世尊道:「大德,拘利耶王

W05n0046_p0060a05║妙好,拔除此苦;念涅槃沒有這般痛苦,祇有最上安樂。」
W05n0046_p0060a06║  世尊答言:「祝拘利耶王女蘇波婆沙安樂無恙,無諸
W05n0046_p0060a07║痛苦,產出無病嬰兒。」世尊說已,拘利耶王女蘇波婆沙
W05n0046_p0060a08║即安樂無恙,產出無病嬰兒。
W05n0046_p0060a09║  拘利耶王子聞聽佛語,歡喜信受,從座而起,向世尊
W05n0046_p0060a10║行右繞之禮,禮已,回到王宮。既回,見拘利耶王女蘇波
W05n0046_p0060a11║婆沙安樂無恙,已生出一無病嬰兒。既見,即生此念:
W05n0046_p0060a12║「拘利耶王女應佛之言,康安無恙,產出嬰兒。如來真有
W05n0046_p0060a13║大神通,大威力,真奇妙無比。」王子心滿意足,興高采
W05n0046_p0060a14║烈。
W05n0046_p0060a15║  於時蘇波婆沙對夫言道:「王子請來,請去世尊所,
W05n0046_p0060a16║代我頂禮佛足,稟報世尊:『拘利耶王女蘇波婆沙懷胎七
W05n0046_p0060a17║載,難產七日;現已產出一無病嬰兒。她欲設七日之齋
W05n0046_p0060a18║飯,供養世尊及僧眾;敬請世尊及僧眾受此齋供。』」
W05n0046_p0060a19║  拘利耶王子遵拘利耶王女蘇波婆沙之囑,來至佛
W05n0046_p0060a20║所,施禮已畢,坐於一旁,白世尊言:「大德世尊,拘利耶
W05n0046_p0060a21║王女蘇波婆沙頂禮佛足。拘利耶王女懷胎七載,難產七
W05n0046_p0060a22║日;現安好無恙,已產下一無病嬰兒。她欲設七日齋,供
W05n0046_p0060a23║世尊及僧眾。恭請世尊接受拘利耶王女蘇波婆沙之
W05n0046_p0060a24║請。」時有一居士,已確定次日向佛及僧眾供齋。此居士
W05n0046_p0060a25║乃大目犍連尊者之供養人。於是世尊對目犍連曰:「目
W05n0046_p0061a01║犍連,汝來!去那居士住所對他說:『壽者,拘利耶王女
W05n0046_p0061a02║蘇波婆沙懷胎七載,難產七日,現已安好無恙,產一無病
W05n0046_p0061a03║嬰兒。她欲設七日之齋,供佛及僧。現當隨她供齋之
W05n0046_p0061a04║願,汝其後可辦。』那居士是汝之供養人。」
W05n0046_p0061a05║  「如是世尊!」大目犍連遵囑到居士所,而告之曰:
W05n0046_p0061a06║「壽者,拘利耶王女蘇波婆沙懷胎七載,難產七日,現她
W05n0046_p0061a07║安好無恙,產一無病健兒。她欲設七日之齋,供佛及僧。
W05n0046_p0061a08║現當隨她供齋之願,汝其後可辦。」居士言:「若大目犍連
W05n0046_p0061a09║尊者答應護我財、命、信,拘利耶王女蘇波婆沙可先供七
W05n0046_p0061a10║日之齋,我可在後。」大目犍連言:「我是汝財、命兩項之
W05n0046_p0061a11║護者;至於『信』,汝當自護。」居士言:「大目犍連尊者是
W05n0046_p0061a12║我財、命兩項護者;拘利耶王女蘇波婆沙亦當先設七日
W05n0046_p0061a13║齋,我可在後。」
W05n0046_p0061a14║  時大目犍連尊者告居士已,回至佛所而白世尊曰:
W05n0046_p0061a15║「大德世尊,我已告予居士,拘利耶王女蘇波婆沙可供七
W05n0046_p0061a16║日之齋,彼可後辦。」
W05n0046_p0061a17║  爾時,拘利耶王女蘇波婆沙自做甘美嚼食,請佛及
W05n0046_p0061a18║僧眾食用,盡於七日;並令嬰兒禮拜世尊及僧眾。
W05n0046_p0061a19║  時舍利弗尊者問此兒曰:「孩兒,汝安好否?有無病
W05n0046_p0061a20║苦?」孩兒答言:「舍利弗尊者,我何能安好?何能無苦?
W05n0046_p0061a21║我在血盆中達七年之久!」
W05n0046_p0061a22║  時拘利耶王女蘇波婆沙甚是喜悅,心想:「我兒已能
W05n0046_p0061a23║與尊者談話!」
W05n0046_p0061a24║  爾時,世尊見拘利耶王女蘇波婆沙喜悅歡快,問到:
W05n0046_p0061a25║「蘇波婆沙,汝還想再得如是兒否?」蘇波婆沙答曰:「世
W05n0046_p0062a01║尊,我還想再得七如是兒。」
W05n0046_p0062a02║  爾時世尊,聽得此言,即興而說:
W05n0046_p0062a03║  苦事以為樂,悲事以為喜;
W05n0046_p0062a04║  為何混如是,祇緣人放逸。

W05n0046_p0062a06║    九、毗舍佉經
W05n0046_p0062a07║  如是我聞:一時,世尊在舍衛城東園彌伽羅母講堂
W05n0046_p0062a08║住。時彌伽羅母毗舍佉有事求憍薩羅國王波斯匿辦理,
W05n0046_p0062a09║而憍薩羅國王波斯匿未能依從。於是彌伽羅母毗舍佉
W05n0046_p0062a10║於中午時分來至佛所,禮世尊已,坐於一旁。時世尊問
W05n0046_p0062a11║曰:「毗舍佉,汝於此中午時分,從何處來此?」毗舍佉答
W05n0046_p0062a12║言:「大德世尊,我有事請求憍薩羅國王波斯匿辦理,而
W05n0046_p0062a13║波斯匿未能依我之願。」
W05n0046_p0062a14║  爾時世尊,如是聽已,即興而說:
W05n0046_p0062a15║  他人權高已生苦,眾生富貴方為樂;
W05n0046_p0062a16║  有貪有求必有悲,煩惱結縛難擺脫。

W05n0046_p0062a18║    十、跋提耶經
W05n0046_p0062a19║  如是我聞:一時,佛在阿努比耶城芒果林住。時有
W05n0046_p0062a20║卡利瞿陀王之子跋提耶者,或在林中,或在樹下,或在虛
W05n0046_p0062a21║室,常自發感興:「快哉!快哉」!時比丘眾或在林中,或
W05n0046_p0062a22║在樹下,或在虛室,常聞聽卡利瞿陀王之子跋提耶發此
W05n0046_p0062a23║感興。比丘眾想:「卡利瞿陀王之子跋提耶雖已出家,但
W05n0046_p0062a24║定是不喜梵行,常憶昔日在家之樂;故而或在林中,或在
W05n0046_p0062a25║樹下,或在虛室常自發此感興。」
W05n0046_p0063a01║  時比丘眾即往佛所,施禮已畢,坐在一旁,白世尊
W05n0046_p0063a02║言:「大德,卡利瞿陀王子跋提耶或在林中,或在樹下,或
W05n0046_p0063a03║在虛室,常自發感興:快哉!快哉!無疑,卡利瞿陀王子
W05n0046_p0063a04║跋提耶肯定是不喜梵行,常憶昔日在家之樂,故常發此
W05n0046_p0063a05║感興。」
W05n0046_p0063a06║  時世尊呼一比丘:「比丘汝來,去告跋提耶,如我言
W05n0046_p0063a07║說,招他來此。」比丘應一聲「如是世尊」,遵囑而去。至
W05n0046_p0063a08║卡利瞿陀王子跋提耶所,告曰:「跋提耶尊者,師招汝
W05n0046_p0063a09║往。」卡利瞿陀王子跋提耶應一聲「如是,尊者」,即往佛
W05n0046_p0063a10║所。既至,施禮已畢,坐在一旁。世尊問曰:「跋提耶,汝
W05n0046_p0063a11║或在林中,或在樹下,或在虛室,常自發感興:快哉!快
W05n0046_p0063a12║哉!果有此事?」跋提耶答曰:「如是,世尊。」世尊又問:
W05n0046_p0063a13║「跋提耶,汝或在林中,或在樹下,或在虛室,為何經常發
W05n0046_p0063a14║此感興?」
W05n0046_p0063a15║  跋提耶答曰:「大德世尊,從前居家治國之時,宮內
W05n0046_p0063a16║宮外,皆有守備;城內城外,亦多護衛;國內國外,亦有防
W05n0046_p0063a17║所。雖然如此,我亦是終日恐懼戰慄,驚悸不安;而今我
W05n0046_p0063a18║獨居林中、樹下、虛室,卻無恐懼戰慄,驚悸不安之感。
W05n0046_p0063a19║少欲知足,心同遊鹿。故而我或在林中,或在樹下,或在
W05n0046_p0063a20║虛室,常自發感興:快哉!快哉!」

W05n0046_p0063a23║  如此無憂者,天神難目睹。

W05n0046_p0064a19║時世尊之弟,姨母之子難陀尊者告知諸比丘曰:「諸位尊
W05n0046_p0064a20║者,我不喜修持梵行,我將捨戒還俗。」時一比丘到世尊
W05n0046_p0064a21║所,禮世尊已,坐在一旁而白佛言:「大德世尊,世尊之
W05n0046_p0064a22║弟,世尊姨母之子,難陀尊者對比丘眾言:『諸位尊者,我
W05n0046_p0064a23║不喜修持梵行,我將捨戒還俗。』」
W05n0046_p0064a24║  時世尊召一比丘:「比丘汝來,汝去召難陀比丘來
W05n0046_p0064a25║此,對他說師召難陀。」比丘應聲而去,至難陀所,告難陀
W05n0046_p0065a01║曰:「壽者難陀,師召汝去。」
W05n0046_p0065a02║  難陀即至佛所,禮世尊已,坐在一旁。佛問難陀:
W05n0046_p0065a03║「聞汝曾告比丘眾言:『我不喜修持梵行,我將捨戒還
W05n0046_p0065a04║俗。』是否果有其事?」難陀答言:「如是,世尊。」「難陀,汝
W05n0046_p0065a05║因何不喜梵行,因何要捨戒還俗?」「世尊,我出家之時,
W05n0046_p0065a06║美女國色天香,垂髮半梳,曾告我言:『君當速歸。』每念
W05n0046_p0065a07║及此,便不願修持梵行,想捨戒還俗。」
W05n0046_p0065a08║  時世尊拉起難陀尊者,如壯士屈伸臂頃,從祇陀林
W05n0046_p0065a09║園到忉利天。
W05n0046_p0065a10║  爾時,忉利天有五百天女,其大腿粉紅如鴿足,侍奉
W05n0046_p0065a11║帝釋天王。佛問難陀:「汝見此五百天女否?」難陀答言:
W05n0046_p0065a12║「如是,世尊。」
W05n0046_p0065a13║  「難陀,汝有何感想?垂髮半梳,國色天香與此五百
W05n0046_p0065a14║天女相比,誰更美妙?誰更動人?」
W05n0046_p0065a15║  「世尊,二者相比,垂髮半梳,國色天香便如母猴一
W05n0046_p0065a16║樣醜陋不堪,不及天女之十六分之一,乃至十六分之一
W05n0046_p0065a17║之十六分之一。二者豈可相提並論?五百天女確實更
W05n0046_p0065a18║加美妙,更加動人。」
W05n0046_p0065a19║  「難陀,汝當喜愛教法,我可設法使汝得到五百天
W05n0046_p0065a20║女,我可擔保。」
W05n0046_p0065a21║  「大德,世尊若能保證我得到五百天女,我自會隨世
W05n0046_p0065a22║尊修持梵行。」
W05n0046_p0065a23║  時世尊又拉起難陀尊者,如壯士伸屈臂頃,從忉利
W05n0046_p0065a24║天回到祇陀林園。
W05n0046_p0065a25║  自此之後,諸比丘眾皆聞知:「世尊之弟,姨母之子,
W05n0046_p0066a01║難陀尊者為得到天女而修持梵行,世尊並已保證難陀得
W05n0046_p0066a02║到五百天女。」比丘眾中,難陀尊者之舊友開始稱難陀為
W05n0046_p0066a03║僱傭者、買來人。難陀尊者因被如此稱呼而苦惱,而羞
W05n0046_p0066a04║愧,於是避開僧眾,獨居靜處;勇猛精進,斷除煩惱,趨向
W05n0046_p0066a05║涅槃。如此勤修梵行道業,不久證得羅漢果位,自知「生
W05n0046_p0066a06║死已盡,梵行已立,所作已辦,不受後有」。如是難陀尊
W05n0046_p0066a07║者成為諸多阿羅中之一位阿羅漢。
W05n0046_p0066a08║  時初夜已過,有一天神來到佛所;遍體光明,普照祇
W05n0046_p0066a09║園。天神禮世尊已,站在一旁,白世尊言:「世尊之弟,姨
W05n0046_p0066a10║母之子,難陀尊者諸漏已盡,已得無漏智果,以自慧力求
W05n0046_p0066a11║得解脫。」世尊亦以己之智,得見難陀諸漏已盡,已得無
W05n0046_p0066a12║漏智果,以自慧力求得解脫。
W05n0046_p0066a13║  是夜分盡,難陀尊者往見世尊,禮世尊已,坐於一
W05n0046_p0066a14║旁,而白世尊言:「大德世尊,世尊曾保我得五百天女。
W05n0046_p0066a15║世尊,今我請求解除此約。」世尊曰:「難陀,我已知汝心,
W05n0046_p0066a16║知汝已以自慧力,漏盡解脫。有一天神也已來告我。難
W05n0046_p0066a17║陀,汝心既然已無取執,諸漏既已斷盡,我們自可解除此
W05n0046_p0066a18║約。」
W05n0046_p0066a19║  世尊如是說已,即興而說:
W05n0046_p0066a20║  人若渡欲沼,以及輪迴沼;
W05n0046_p0066a21║  拔除煩惱刺,解脫無執著;
W05n0046_p0066a22║  如此之沙門,苦樂無動搖。

W05n0046_p0066a25║  如是我聞:一時,世尊在捨衛城祇樹給孤獨園住。
W05n0046_p0067a01║時有耶輸闍等五百比丘到舍衛城來謁見世尊。諸外來
W05n0046_p0067a02║比丘與住園比丘互相談敘,共同敷設臥具,整理衣缽,聲
W05n0046_p0067a03║音甚大。爾時世尊問阿難:「阿難,何人如此高聲喧鬧?
W05n0046_p0067a04║有如漁場上之漁夫一般?」阿難答曰:「世尊,此乃耶輸闍
W05n0046_p0067a05║等五百比丘來此謁見世尊,諸外來比丘與住園比丘互相
W05n0046_p0067a06║談敘,共同敷設臥具,整理衣缽,聲音甚大。」世尊告曰:
W05n0046_p0067a07║「阿難,汝去召諸比丘來,說師欲召見。」「如是,世尊。」阿
W05n0046_p0067a08║難應諾而去,到諸比丘處告言:「師召諸位尊者。」
W05n0046_p0067a09║  諸比丘應佛之召,來到佛所,禮世尊已,坐於一旁。
W05n0046_p0067a10║世尊問曰:「諸比丘眾,汝等為何大聲喧鬧,如漁場漁
W05n0046_p0067a11║夫?」
W05n0046_p0067a12║  耶輸闍白佛言:「世尊,我等五百比丘來此謁見世
W05n0046_p0067a13║尊,諸外來比丘與住園比丘互相談敘,敷設臥具,整理衣
W05n0046_p0067a14║缽,聲音甚大。」
W05n0046_p0067a15║  佛告諸比丘曰:「離開這裏,諸比丘!我當驅汝等遠
W05n0046_p0067a16║離,不准留住我處。」
W05n0046_p0067a17║  「如是,世尊。」諸比丘應諾,即從座起,禮拜世尊,行
W05n0046_p0067a18║右繞之禮;收起坐臥用具及衣缽,向跋祇遊去。至跋祇
W05n0046_p0067a19║國瓦古姆達河,逢雨季。即於河岸造茅棚安居。
W05n0046_p0067a20║  時耶輸闍召諸比丘曰:「諸壽者,世尊為使我等獲
W05n0046_p0067a21║益,同情我等,纔把我等驅開。故我等應知世尊寄我等
W05n0046_p0067a22║之希望,我等應遵從行事。」
W05n0046_p0067a23║  諸比丘應一聲「如是,尊者」,便分散獨居,精進而不
W05n0046_p0067a24║放逸;斷煩惱,趨涅槃。在此雨季安居期間,皆得三明。
W05n0046_p0067a25║  時世尊住捨衛城已,向吠捨離遊去。至吠捨離,住
W05n0046_p0068a01║大林精舍。時世尊心中已知住阿古姆達河岸諸比丘情
W05n0046_p0068a02║形,即告阿難曰:「阿難,瓦古姆達河岸住有諸比丘,那裏
W05n0046_p0068a03║已有光向我。阿難,汝遣一使者去瓦古姆達河岸,告諸
W05n0046_p0068a04║比丘,師有召請。」阿難應聲「如是,世尊」。即去一比丘
W05n0046_p0068a05║處,對該比丘曰:「壽者,汝去阿古姆達河岸比丘住處,對
W05n0046_p0068a06║彼比丘言師欲召見。」比丘應聲而去,彈指之間便到達瓦
W05n0046_p0068a07║古姆達河岸諸比丘處,對諸比丘曰:「師召諸位尊者,師
W05n0046_p0068a08║欲見諸位尊者。」「如是,尊者。」諸比丘應諾一聲,即收拾
W05n0046_p0068a09║坐臥具,整理衣缽,離開瓦古姆達河岸,彈指之間,來到
W05n0046_p0068a10║大林精舍世尊住所。
W05n0046_p0068a11║  爾時世尊入於不動三昧。諸比丘思忖世尊此時修
W05n0046_p0068a12║住何處,得知世尊入於不動三昧時,便亦皆入於不動三
W05n0046_p0068a13║昧。
W05n0046_p0068a14║  至天黑以後,初夜已過,阿難雙手合十,向世尊禮
W05n0046_p0068a15║拜。然後披著袈裟,白世尊曰:「大德世尊,初夜已過,現
W05n0046_p0068a16║已夜深;遠來諸僧恭候已久,請世尊與之談說。」
W05n0046_p0068a17║  阿難如是白世尊已,世尊仍是默然不語。阿難再次

W05n0046_p0068a25║知,當不至如此。阿難,我與五百比丘,已同入不動三

W05n0046_p0069a03║  拔除貪之刺,戰勝辱暴縛;

W05n0046_p0069a25║  如是我聞:一時,世尊在王捨城竹林迦蘭陀園住。

W05n0046_p0070a02║至佛所,禮拜已畢,坐於一旁,白世尊言:「大德,畢陵迦
W05n0046_p0070a03║婆蹉尊者常呼諸比丘為『賤人』。」
W05n0046_p0070a04║  時世尊告一比丘曰:「比丘,汝過來,汝如我所說,告
W05n0046_p0070a05║畢陵迦婆蹉比丘『師召汝往』。」比丘應諾:「如是,世尊。」
W05n0046_p0070a06║即往畢陵迦婆蹉所。既至,告畢陵迦婆蹉言:「師召汝
W05n0046_p0070a07║往。」畢陵迦婆蹉應一聲「如是,壽者。」即到佛所,禮世尊
W05n0046_p0070a08║已,坐在一旁。世尊告畢陵迦婆蹉曰:「婆蹉,聞汝常呼
W05n0046_p0070a09║諸比丘為『賤人』,有此事否?」畢陵迦婆蹉答言:「如是,
W05n0046_p0070a10║世尊。」
W05n0046_p0070a11║  爾時,世尊思維畢陵迦婆蹉之往世情形,而後告諸
W05n0046_p0070a12║比丘曰:「諸比丘,汝等不當怪罪婆蹉比丘,婆蹉並未以
W05n0046_p0070a13║瞋怒之心呼汝等為『賤人』。婆蹉比丘過去五百世連續
W05n0046_p0070a14║不斷生於婆羅門家庭,呼人為『賤人』已成習氣。以此習
W05n0046_p0070a15║氣故,婆蹉纔呼汝等為『賤人』。」
W05n0046_p0070a16║  爾時世尊,如是告已,即興而說:
W05n0046_p0070a17║  人若無欺詐,無慢無貪心,
W05n0046_p0070a18║  無我亦無慾,心寂無怒瞋;
W05n0046_p0070a19║  如是之人者,名為婆羅門,
W05n0046_p0070a20║  名為真比丘,名為真沙門。

W05n0046_p0070a22║    七、迦葉經
W05n0046_p0070a23║  如是我聞:一時,世尊在王舍城竹林迦蘭陀園住。
W05n0046_p0070a24║時大迦葉尊者在畢缽羅窟單跏趺坐,入一三昧,經七日。
W05n0046_p0070a25║七日後從定起。出定後心想:「我當到王捨城乞食。」時
W05n0046_p0071a01║有五百天神踊躍上前,供奉食品。大迦葉謝絕所供,於
W05n0046_p0071a02║朝時著衣持缽,入王捨城乞食。
W05n0046_p0071a03║  時帝釋天欲供大迦葉齋食,即化為紡織工紡紗;阿
W05n0046_p0071a04║修羅女穿梭織布。
W05n0046_p0071a05║  大迦葉尊者在王舍城挨戶乞食,來至帝釋天化身
W05n0046_p0071a06║處。帝釋天化身見大迦葉尊者走來,出門往迎,接缽入
W05n0046_p0071a07║室,以米飯及諸類菜餚,上等汁液,盛滿一缽,獻給大迦
W05n0046_p0071a08║葉。時大迦葉自忖:「此人是誰,有諾大威力?定是帝釋
W05n0046_p0071a09║天無疑。」大迦葉如是知已,明告帝釋天曰:「帝釋,此汝
W05n0046_p0071a10║所為。此後不可再如此行事!」
W05n0046_p0071a11║  帝釋天言:「大德大迦葉,我等亦需積德,亦當行
W05n0046_p0071a12║善。」言已,行右繞之禮,而後昇入天空。帝釋欣喜,於空
W05n0046_p0071a13║中自說:「最上齋食,已施予大迦葉!最上齋食,已施予
W05n0046_p0071a14║大迦葉!最上齋食,已施予大迦葉!」
W05n0046_p0071a15║  爾時世尊,以超人之清淨天耳,聽到帝釋於空中所

W05n0046_p0071a18║  持齋勤修行,正念持不離。
W05n0046_p0071a19║  寂靜遠世法,天神表敬意。

W05n0046_p0071a22║  如是我聞:一時,世尊在舍衛城祇樹給孤獨長者園
W05n0046_p0071a23║住。時諸比丘乞食已回,齋飯用畢,聚於迦利樹園堂而
W05n0046_p0071a24║共同談敘。
W05n0046_p0071a25║  「諸位壽者,托缽乞食之比丘在遊行托缽時,常可見
W05n0046_p0072a01║悅目之色,聽悅耳之音,聞悅意之香,嘗悅意之味,得悅
W05n0046_p0072a02║意之觸。諸位壽者,乞食比丘可得供養,受禮敬尊崇。
W05n0046_p0072a03║故人為此而托缽。我等亦當堅持托缽,以常見悅目之
W05n0046_p0072a04║色,聽悅耳之音,聞悅意之香,嘗悅意之味,得悅意之觸。
W05n0046_p0072a05║可得供養,受禮敬尊崇。」諸比丘如是議論,未能終止。
W05n0046_p0072a06║  爾時已夕,世尊從定中坐起,至迦利樹園堂,敷座而
W05n0046_p0072a07║坐,問比丘曰:「汝等聚此,作何言說?而未終止?」眾比
W05n0046_p0072a08║丘答言:「大德世尊,我等乞食既回,齋飯用畢,聚於此迦
W05n0046_p0072a09║利樹園堂,共同談論:托缽乞食者在遊行托缽時,常可見
W05n0046_p0072a10║悅目之色,聽悅耳之音,聞悅意之香,嘗悅意之味,得悅
W05n0046_p0072a11║意之觸。可得供養,受禮敬尊崇。我等議論未終止時,
W05n0046_p0072a12║世尊至此。」
W05n0046_p0072a13║  世尊告曰:「諸比丘,汝等是族姓子,正信出家。發
W05n0046_p0072a14║此議論,甚不應該。諸比丘聚於一處,當做之事僅二:一
W05n0046_p0072a15║是談說法語,二是保持聖者之沉默。」
W05n0046_p0072a16║  爾時世尊,如是說已,即興而說偈曰:
W05n0046_p0072a17║  比丘托缽乞,不求人讚譽;
W05n0046_p0072a18║  托缽無他求,祇為養自已。
W05n0046_p0072a19║  不為世法動,天神表敬意。

W05n0046_p0072a24║下之事:「諸位尊者,誰懂技藝?何藝最高?誰習何藝?」
W05n0046_p0072a25║有比丘言:「御象之技最高。」有比丘說:「御馬之技最
W05n0046_p0073a01║高。」有比丘說:「駕車之技最高。」有比丘說:「射箭之技
W05n0046_p0073a02║最高。」有比丘說:「武術最高。」有比丘說:「印契之技最
W05n0046_p0073a03║高。」有比丘說:「數學最高。」有比丘說:「書法最高。」有
W05n0046_p0073a04║比丘說:「詩歌最高。」有比丘說:「詭辯最高。」有比丘說:
W05n0046_p0073a05║「應辯最高。」如此談論,未有終止。
W05n0046_p0073a06║  時至傍晚,世尊從定中起,至眾比丘處,敷座而坐,
W05n0046_p0073a07║問比丘曰:「諸比丘,今汝等聚此,談論何事,而未終止?」
W05n0046_p0073a08║  眾比丘答言:「大德,我等托缽回,齋食已,共坐攀
W05n0046_p0073a09║談,談及誰懂技藝,諸技之中以何為最高,誰習何藝。有
W05n0046_p0073a10║說御家之技最高,有說應辯之術最高。談未終止,世尊
W05n0046_p0073a11║至此。」
W05n0046_p0073a12║  世尊曰:「諸比丘,汝等是族姓子,虔誠出家,不當談
W05n0046_p0073a13║論此等話題。汝等聚於一處,當做者唯二事:一是談說
W05n0046_p0073a14║法語;二是保持聖者之沉默。」
W05n0046_p0073a15║  爾時,世尊如是說己,即興而說:
W05n0046_p0073a16║  不以技為生,輕安無負重;
W05n0046_p0073a17║  諸根得調伏,利益天人眾。
W05n0046_p0073a18║  無慾無我執,解脫無俗行;
W05n0046_p0073a19║  無慢善獨處,名為比丘僧。

W05n0046_p0073a21║    十、觀世經
W05n0046_p0073a22║  如是我聞:一時,世尊在優樓維羅尼連禪河岸菩提
W05n0046_p0073a23║樹下初成正覺。時世尊單跏趺坐,享解脫之樂,經於七日。
W05n0046_p0073a24║  七日之後,世尊從定中起,以佛眼觀察世界。世尊
W05n0046_p0074a01║以佛眼觀見世界諸有情或因貪慾、或因瞋恚、或因癡愚
W05n0046_p0074a02║而受諸熱惱,受諸悲苦。

W05n0046_p0074a05║  人間有通病,以苦為幸福。

W05n0046_p0074a08║  愛則生恐懼,恐懼生苦悲;
W05n0046_p0074a09║  若能持梵行,有助脫輪迴。

W05n0046_p0074a11║  雖稱已離「有」,其實並不然。
W05n0046_p0074a12║  沙門婆羅門,說「無」持「斷見」;
W05n0046_p0074a13║  雖稱已離「有」,其實並不然。
W05n0046_p0074a14║  「貪蘊」必生苦,「取」斷苦不生;
W05n0046_p0074a15║  世人因「無明」,貪愛煩惱生。
W05n0046_p0074a16║  如是之有情,離苦不可能。
W05n0046_p0074a17║  貪愛等諸「有」,遍於一切處;
W05n0046_p0074a18║  諸「有」皆無常,無常而皆苦。
W05n0046_p0074a19║  正智知如是,貪有必可斷;
W05n0046_p0074a20║  正道斷諸貪,貪滅即涅槃。

W05n0046_p0075a08║時彌凱耶尊者為佛之侍者。彌凱耶尊者到佛所,禮敬已
W05n0046_p0075a09║畢,站立一旁,白世尊言:「大德世尊,我欲去江都村乞
W05n0046_p0075a10║食。」世尊曰:「現正是時,彌凱耶。」
W05n0046_p0075a11║  彌凱耶尊者著衣持缽,入江都村行乞。從江都村托
W05n0046_p0075a12║缽回,齋食已,來到金米卡拉河邊,在河邊漫步休息。爾
W05n0046_p0075a13║時,彌凱耶尊者見一片惹人喜愛的芒果林,心想:「此芒
W05n0046_p0075a14║果林委實可愛,是族姓子修行的理想處所。世尊如若應
W05n0046_p0075a15║允,我欲來此精勤修習。」
W05n0046_p0075a16║  彌凱耶尊者如是想已,來至佛所,行禮已畢,坐在一
W05n0046_p0075a17║旁,白世尊言:「大德,我於朝時著衣持缽,入江都村乞
W05n0046_p0075a18║食。托缽回,齋食已,到金米卡拉河邊漫步休息,時見一
W05n0046_p0075a19║片芒果林甚是可愛。心想,如若世尊應允,我願到那裏
W05n0046_p0075a20║精勤修習。」
W05n0046_p0075a21║  彌凱耶尊者如是白世尊已,世尊曰:「彌凱耶,汝若
W05n0046_p0075a22║去,我則獨居;汝可暫留,至另比丘來此接替。」彌凱耶尊
W05n0046_p0075a23║者再白世尊言:「大德世尊,世尊已無當做之事,而我卻
W05n0046_p0075a24║有事當做。若世尊應允,我當往彼芒果林勤奮修習。」
W05n0046_p0075a25║  彌凱耶尊者如是白世尊已。世尊曰:「彌凱耶,汝既
W05n0046_p0076a01║說勤奮修習,我尚復何言?彌凱耶,現正當其時,汝可行
W05n0046_p0076a02║當做之事。」時彌凱耶從座而起,右繞禮佛,即往芒果林
W05n0046_p0076a03║去。進入林中,於一棵樹下休息。彌凱耶住於芒果林
W05n0046_p0076a04║中,卻生出慾念、瞋念、害念之三惡念。時彌凱耶尊者甚
W05n0046_p0076a05║感奇怪:「怪哉!怪哉!昔所未有!我虔誠出家,卻住於
W05n0046_p0076a06║三惡念中!」
W05n0046_p0076a07║  於夕時,彌凱耶從定中起,往世尊所。行禮已畢,坐
W05n0046_p0076a08║在一旁,白世尊言:「大德世尊,我在芒果林住,卻生出慾
W05n0046_p0076a09║念、瞋念、害念之三惡念。這使我驚奇,我虔誠出家,卻
W05n0046_p0076a10║住於三惡念中!」
W05n0046_p0076a11║  世尊曰:「彌凱耶,有五法可治汝心。何謂五法?彌
W05n0046_p0076a12║凱耶,比丘有善知識,善友,此為第一法。守持戒律,遵
W05n0046_p0076a13║守解脫戒規,行持圓滿,縱使小過亦畏懼不犯,精修學
W05n0046_p0076a14║處,此為第二法。復次,有少欲之足之語,喜樂語,閑靜
W05n0046_p0076a15║語,獨處語,精進語,戒語,定語,慧語,解脫語;有利於斷
W05n0046_p0076a16║除煩惱、蓋障,有利於厭惡輪迴之苦,有利於滅除貪慾,
W05n0046_p0076a17║有利於得菩提,證涅槃。多聽此類話語為第三法。復
W05n0046_p0076a18║次,彌凱耶,比丘應勇猛精進;增強善法,遠離不善法;此
W05n0046_p0076a19║為第四法。復次,彌凱耶,比丘應有智慧,應以智慧觀察
W05n0046_p0076a20║生滅,正觀苦滅;此為第五法。」
W05n0046_p0076a21║  「彌凱耶,有善知識,有善友,可望得此。守持戒律,
W05n0046_p0076a22║修習學處,排除煩惱,可望得此。精進,不捨善業,正觀
W05n0046_p0076a23║苦滅,可望得此。」
W05n0046_p0076a24║  「彌凱耶,除此五法之外,還須增修四法:應修不淨
W05n0046_p0076a25║觀以除貪愛;應修慈悲觀以除瞋恨;應修數息觀以除疑
W05n0046_p0077a01║惑;應修無常觀以除傲慢。彌凱耶,得無常想者,則決無
W05n0046_p0077a02║我執;得無我想者,必可滅除我慢;如此當世可證涅槃。」

W05n0046_p0077a05║  無明不自知,必使輪迴延。

W05n0046_p0077a10║  如是我聞:一時,世尊住於拘屍那羅城末羅族之烏
W05n0046_p0077a11║帕瓦得那莎羅林。時有眾多比丘住於離佛不遠之林間
W05n0046_p0077a12║房舍中。他們高慢、浮躁、多語、迷惑、不自覺、心不專
W05n0046_p0077a13║一、慌恐不安。
W05n0046_p0077a14║  爾時世尊,見諸比丘眾高慢、浮躁、多語、迷惑、不自
W05n0046_p0077a15║覺、心不專一、慌恐不安,住於不遠處之林間房舍中。
W05n0046_p0077a16║  爾時世尊,如是見已,即興而說:
W05n0046_p0077a17║  不能攝護身,邪見必入侵;
W05n0046_p0077a18║  惛沉唯欲睡,必被魔羅擒。
W05n0046_p0077a19║  若善護其心,思惟正而純;
W05n0046_p0077a20║  惛睡能克服,惡趣可捨盡。

W05n0046_p0077a22║    三、牧牛人經
W05n0046_p0077a23║  如是我聞:一時,世尊同比丘眾在憍薩羅國遊化。
W05n0046_p0077a24║爾時,世尊離開道路,到一棵樹下,敷座而坐。時有一牧
W05n0046_p0077a25║牛人到世尊所,禮世尊已,坐在一旁。佛以法語向其講
W05n0046_p0078a01║說,使其信受、奮發、喜悅。牧牛人聽佛法語,受佛教誨,
W05n0046_p0078a02║心生信念,奮發喜悅而白佛言:「大德世尊,請於明日同
W05n0046_p0078a03║比丘眾受我供養。」世尊默然應允。牧牛人知世尊已應,
W05n0046_p0078a04║即從座起,向世尊行右繞之禮,而自離去。
W05n0046_p0078a05║  夜時過去,牧牛人在家中備好稠奶飯、酥油,稟報世
W05n0046_p0078a06║尊:「大德,飯已備好,今正是時,請來用齋。」
W05n0046_p0078a07║  於朝時分,世尊著衣持缽,攜比丘眾到牧牛人家,敷
W05n0046_p0078a08║座而坐。牧牛人以稠奶飯、鮮酥油供佛及諸比丘。世尊
W05n0046_p0078a09║飯食已,牧牛人於一旁低座坐下。世尊又以法語向其講
W05n0046_p0078a10║說,使其信受、奮發、喜悅。然後從座而起,回到佛所。
W05n0046_p0078a11║  世尊離去未久,一男人入牧牛人家,殺牧牛人死。
W05n0046_p0078a12║  時眾比丘至佛所,行禮已,坐在一旁,白世尊言:「大
W05n0046_p0078a13║德,今天牧牛人以奶飯、酥油供佛及我等比丘眾。我們
W05n0046_p0078a14║離開未久,一男人闖入將牧牛人殺死」。
W05n0046_p0078a15║  世尊如是知已,即興而說:
W05n0046_p0078a16║  敵人對敵人,仇冤對仇冤;
W05n0046_p0078a17║  一方被傷害,報復必更殘。

W05n0046_p0078a19║    四、月明經
W05n0046_p0078a20║  如是我聞:一時,世尊於王捨城竹林迦蘭陀園住。
W05n0046_p0078a21║舍利弗尊者和大目犍連尊者在鴿山住。時舍利弗尊者
W05n0046_p0078a22║新剃頭髮,在月明之夜於露天打坐入定。時有二夜叉為
W05n0046_p0078a23║友,因事自北而南行。二夜叉見舍利弗尊者新剃頭髮,
W05n0046_p0078a24║在月明之夜於露天打坐入定。一夜叉告其友曰:「朋友,
W05n0046_p0078a25║我欲擊此沙門頭。」友言:「朋友,不可;汝莫如此。此沙
W05n0046_p0079a01║門是一位大德,有大神通,大威力。」夜叉再對友言:「朋
W05n0046_p0079a02║友,我仍欲擊此沙門頭。」友再阻:「不可,汝莫如此。此
W05n0046_p0079a03║沙門是一位大德,有大神通,大威力。」夜叉三對友言:
W05n0046_p0079a04║「朋友,我仍欲擊此沙門頭。」友三阻:「不可,汝莫如此。
W05n0046_p0079a05║此沙門是一位大德,有大神通,大威力。」
W05n0046_p0079a06║  爾時,夜叉不聽友勸阻,擊舍利弗尊者頭。此一擊,
W05n0046_p0079a07║能使七肘乃至八肘高大象倒地;能使山頂崩壞;而夜叉
W05n0046_p0079a08║本身因此擊而哀叫「疼痛」,倒地而死,墜入地獄。
W05n0046_p0079a09║  時大目犍連尊者以超人之清淨天眼,觀見夜叉擊舍
W05n0046_p0079a10║利弗頭,即到舍利弗尊者處問言:「如何?汝能忍否?疼
W05n0046_p0079a11║痛否?」舍利弗答言:「目犍連尊者,我能忍,祇是頭皮有
W05n0046_p0079a12║點痛癢。」大目犍連言:「舍利弗尊者,汝真有大神通,大
W05n0046_p0079a13║威力;真乃神奇之極也!舍利弗尊者,汝被夜叉一擊,這
W05n0046_p0079a14║一擊能使七肘高大象倒地,能使山頂崩壞,而汝卻能忍,
W05n0046_p0079a15║僅覺頭皮有點痛癢。」
W05n0046_p0079a16║  舍利弗言:「我連一個俾舍遮鬼亦未能看見,而目犍
W05n0046_p0079a17║連尊者卻看見了夜叉。目犍連尊者真有大神通,大威
W05n0046_p0079a18║力。目犍連尊者纔真正堪稱神奇。」
W05n0046_p0079a19║  此時,世尊以超人之清淨天耳聽到此二大弟子談

W05n0046_p0080a06║臣、外道、外道弟子共住,混雜不堪,諸多不便,我當離群
W05n0046_p0080a07║獨居。」爾時朝時,世尊著衣持缽,入憍賞彌乞食。乞食
W05n0046_p0080a08║已,回至住所,將坐臥具收拾存放,著衣持缽,不告侍從,
W05n0046_p0080a09║不告比丘僧眾,獨自一人,無有二者,往波利林去。依路
W05n0046_p0080a10║序行走,到達波利林,住於附近之護林中一棵名為「善
W05n0046_p0080a11║良」的娑羅樹下。
W05n0046_p0080a12║  時有一象王,與諸多牡象、牝象、小象、幼象雜居一
W05n0046_p0080a13║處。像王吃諸象食去梢頭之草,諸象吃象王折下之樹
W05n0046_p0080a14║枝。像王飲混濁之水。像王出水上岸後,諸牝象以軀體
W05n0046_p0080a15║觸摸象王。如此,像王煩躁。像王想:「我今與諸多牝
W05n0046_p0080a16║象、牡象、小象、幼象雜居一處;我所食者,為諸象食去梢
W05n0046_p0080a17║頭之草;諸象所食者,為我從樹上折下之枝。我所飲為
W05n0046_p0080a18║混濁之水,我上岸後,又有諸牝象以身體觸摸,如此與眾
W05n0046_p0080a19║混居,煩苦不便,我當離開群體,獨居纔是。」於是象王離
W05n0046_p0080a20║開象群,來到波利林村護林世尊所住之「善良」娑羅樹
W05n0046_p0080a21║下。像王以鼻拔除住地草莽,以鼻取水供佛飲用,以鼻
W05n0046_p0080a22║取物供佛使用。
W05n0046_p0080a23║  世尊獨居,清閒自在。心想:「昔日我與比丘、比丘
W05n0046_p0080a24║尼、優婆塞、優婆夷、國王、大臣、外道、外道弟子混雜而
W05n0046_p0080a25║居,煩亂不堪。今離群獨居,離開比丘、比丘尼、優婆塞、
W05n0046_p0081a01║優婆夷、國王、大臣、外道、外道弟子,無有煩亂,安樂清
W05n0046_p0081a02║靜。」象王亦想:「我昔日與牡象、牝象、小象、幼象雜居一
W05n0046_p0081a03║處,吃諸象食去梢頭之草,諸象食我從樹上折下之枝。
W05n0046_p0081a04║我飲混濁之水,出水上岸後,諸牝象以身體觸摸,煩苦不

W05n0046_p0082a18║醫藥。比丘眾亦受世人供養,受崇敬,得布施,得衣食、
W05n0046_p0082a19║坐臥具、醫藥。而諸外道不受世人供養,不受崇敬,不得
W05n0046_p0082a20║布施,不得衣食、坐臥具、醫藥。
W05n0046_p0082a21║  時諸外道不能安忍於佛及比丘僧眾之所得,便到外
W05n0046_p0082a22║道女孫陀利所而告言:「妹妹,汝願為親族效些力否?」孫
W05n0046_p0082a23║陀利言:「為了親族,我願捨命效力,但不知我能有何
W05n0046_p0082a24║為。」外道言:「汝當常到祇陀林去。」孫陀利應,即常往祇
W05n0046_p0082a25║陀林。當眾人皆知孫陀利常往祇陀林時,諸外道便將她
W05n0046_p0083a01║殺死,將其屍體埋於祇陀林圍溝中,然後往見憍薩羅國
W05n0046_p0083a02║王告曰:「大王,我等已不見孫陀利女。」王曰:「汝等疑孫
W05n0046_p0083a03║陀利應在何處?」外道言:「大王,祇陀林。」王曰:「如是,
W05n0046_p0083a04║可往祇陀林尋找。」
W05n0046_p0083a05║  時諸外道即往祇陀林,從圍溝中挖出孫陀利屍體,
W05n0046_p0083a06║置於床上,抬往舍衛城中,走街串巷,走過每個路口,便
W05n0046_p0083a07║向人展示言:「諸位,請看釋迦弟子沙門所作之業!他們
W05n0046_p0083a08║無恥、破戒、行惡、妄語、無梵行。他們聲稱行善法,行沙
W05n0046_p0083a09║門法,行梵行,說真話,持戒律,修善行;而其實他們並無
W05n0046_p0083a10║沙門法,未去惡行;沙門行滅盡,梵行滅盡。他們行男女
W05n0046_p0083a11║淫事,事後把女子害死。」
W05n0046_p0083a12║  爾時,舍衛城人聽信外道言,見比丘眾,以粗惡語,
W05n0046_p0083a13║指責辱罵,說釋迦子沙門無羞無恥,乃至行男女淫事,事
W05n0046_p0083a14║已,殺害女子。
W05n0046_p0083a15║  時諸比丘著衣持缽,到舍衛城乞食。乞食回,齋食
W05n0046_p0083a16║已,共往佛所。禮世尊已,坐於一旁,而白佛言:「大德,
W05n0046_p0083a17║捨衛城人見比丘眾輒以惡語辱罵,說釋迦子無有羞恥,
W05n0046_p0083a18║乃至行男女淫事,事已而殺害女子。」
W05n0046_p0083a19║  佛告諸比丘曰:「如是惡語,不會長久;多則可存七
W05n0046_p0083a20║日,七日之後必自消失。諸比丘,若有人見比丘眾以粗
W05n0046_p0083a21║惡語辱罵,可以此偈回復:
W05n0046_p0083a22║  人若說妄語,必然入地獄;
W05n0046_p0083a23║  做而說未做,亦必入地獄;
W05n0046_p0083a24║  二者同為惡,下世又相遇。」
W05n0046_p0083a25║  諸比丘於佛處學得此偈,每遇人辱罵,即以此偈回
W05n0046_p0084a01║復。
W05n0046_p0084a02║  時諸人眾,皆漸醒悟:「諸釋迦子無有罪過。」辱罵果
W05n0046_p0084a03║未持久,七日過後,即自消失。時諸比丘往至佛所,行禮
W05n0046_p0084a04║已畢,坐於一旁而白佛言:「大德,奇哉,奇哉!辱罵之聲

W05n0046_p0084a13║大益!我有妙得!我師乃薄伽梵.阿羅漢.三藐三菩提。
W05n0046_p0084a14║我依師尊所教之法、律而出家;我之善友亦皆梵行之士,
W05n0046_p0084a15║皆持淨戒,行善法。我今戒行圓滿,一心守定。我已是
W05n0046_p0084a16║一名漏盡阿羅漢,有大神通,大威力。生,亦好;死,亦
W05n0046_p0084a17║好。」
W05n0046_p0084a18║  爾時世尊,以心得知旺幹得子優波塞那尊者所念。

W05n0046_p0084a20║  生不受苦痛,死亦無所悲;

W05n0046_p0085a21║者。大王,在大王所愛人中,有無勝於愛大王自己者?」
W05n0046_p0085a22║  「也無有,末利。在我所愛人中,也無有勝於愛我自
W05n0046_p0085a23║己者。」波斯匿答言。
W05n0046_p0085a24║  時波斯匿王從殿上層下至地面,來至佛所,禮世尊
W05n0046_p0085a25║已,坐於一旁,白佛言:「大德,我與末利王妃登至宮殿上
W05n0046_p0086a01║層,問王妃言:『末利,在汝所愛人中,有無勝於愛汝自己
W05n0046_p0086a02║者?』末利王妃答:『大王,在我所愛人中,無有勝於愛我
W05n0046_p0086a03║自己者。』末利又問在我所愛人中,有無勝於愛我自己
W05n0046_p0086a04║者,我亦回答說『無有』。」

W05n0046_p0086a07║  比己更可愛,比己更可親。

W05n0046_p0086a11║  如是我聞:一時,世尊在捨衛城祇樹給孤獨園住。
W05n0046_p0086a12║爾時夕時,阿難尊者從定中起,至世尊所,禮世尊已,坐
W05n0046_p0086a13║於一旁,白世尊言:「奇哉!奇哉!大德世尊,世尊之母
W05n0046_p0086a14║親竟如此短壽,世尊出生七日,世尊母親去世,生兜率
W05n0046_p0086a15║天。」世尊曰:「阿難,事確如此,菩薩之母確實命短,菩薩
W05n0046_p0086a16║降生七日,菩薩母即去世,而降生兜率天。」
W05n0046_p0086a17║  爾時世尊,如是知已,即興而說:
W05n0046_p0086a18║  已生之有情,未生之有情;
W05n0046_p0086a19║  都必捨肉身,肉身必有終。

W05n0046_p0086a22║    三、癩病者經
W05n0046_p0086a23║  如是我聞:一時,世尊在王捨城竹林迦蘭陀園住。
W05n0046_p0086a24║爾時,王捨城有一個名叫「善覺」的癩病患者,他是王舍
W05n0046_p0086a25║城最貧困、最低微之人。
W05n0046_p0087a01║  爾時,世尊正被眾人圍繞,為眾人說法。癩病患者
W05n0046_p0087a02║善覺於遠處見眾人聚集,心想:「此處必有某種食物分
W05n0046_p0087a03║發;我若往至,亦必可得。」善覺即至眾人聚處。既至,
W05n0046_p0087a04║見世尊被眾人圍繞,正為眾人說法。心想:「此處原來並無
W05n0046_p0087a05║食物分發,是沙門瞿曇在為眾人說法。我既到此,亦當
W05n0046_p0087a06║一聽。」即在邊處坐下。爾時世尊正以心念尋察觀審,看
W05n0046_p0087a07║何人最善領悟教法。爾時世尊發現坐於邊處之癩病患
W05n0046_p0087a08║者善覺,即作是念:「領悟我之教法,此人最具善根。」即
W05n0046_p0087a09║針對癩病患者善覺說布施、持戒、生天之法,及貪慾之罪
W05n0046_p0087a10║過,出離之功德。爾時世尊知癩病患者善覺之心具有靈
W05n0046_p0087a11║性,污垢障礙容易去除,即說苦、集、滅、道四聖諦。癩病
W05n0046_p0087a12║患者聽後,即在坐中得無塵法眼,證知諸法必有生有滅。
W05n0046_p0087a13║  爾時癩病患者善覺已見法、證法、悟法、達法,已去
W05n0046_p0087a14║除諸種疑惑,已正信堅固,住於聖教。善覺即從座起,走
W05n0046_p0087a15║向世尊,禮世尊已,坐於一旁,而白佛言:「大德教法,美
W05n0046_p0087a16║妙之極,大德教法,美妙之極!如揭覆蔽,如開掩閉,如
W05n0046_p0087a17║為盲者指路,為暗室照明。大德,我今皈依世尊,皈依於
W05n0046_p0087a18║法,皈依比丘僧團。自今日起,直至命終,是一優婆塞;
W05n0046_p0087a19║亦望世尊如是看我。」
W05n0046_p0087a20║  爾時,癩病患者善覺受佛陀法語教示,興奮、喜悅,
W05n0046_p0087a21║從坐而起,作禮右繞,辭別而去。離去未久,遇一帶犢母
W05n0046_p0087a22║牛,角抵善覺,倒地而死。爾時,諸比丘往見世尊,禮世
W05n0046_p0087a23║尊已,坐於一旁,白世尊言:「大德,癩病患者善覺受佛法
W05n0046_p0087a24║語教誨,皈依信受,興奮喜悅,今已死亡。他現狀如何?
W05n0046_p0087a25║來生怎樣?」世尊答曰:「諸比丘,癩病患者善覺已徹悟正
W05n0046_p0088a01║法。為學佛法,未使我勞苦。諸比丘,癩病患者善覺已
W05n0046_p0088a02║滅除三結,證得預流果位,不會退轉,將來必成正覺。」
W05n0046_p0088a03║  世尊說訖,一比丘問言:「大德世尊,癩病患者善覺
W05n0046_p0088a04║為何如此貧苦?如此低微?因緣何在?」世尊答曰:「諸
W05n0046_p0088a05║比丘,癩病患者善覺前生曾為王捨城一長者子。在園中
W05n0046_p0088a06║遊時,遇見辟支佛多伽羅悉卡入城托缽。既見,心中暗
W05n0046_p0088a07║想:『這個身披袈裟,到處遊蕩的癩病患者是誰?』輕蔑吐
W05n0046_p0088a08║唾而去。以此想故,墜入地獄多年,數萬年、數千年、數
W05n0046_p0088a09║十萬年之久。因其餘業未盡,纔為一癩病患者生於王舍
W05n0046_p0088a10║城;且最貧苦,最低微。彼聽佛法,虔誠皈信,謹持戒律;
W05n0046_p0088a11║修學、修捨、修慧。今身壞命終,將生忉利天。彼之色身
W05n0046_p0088a12║聲譽,必過諸神。」
W05n0046_p0088a13║  爾時世尊,如是說已,即興而說:
W05n0046_p0088a14║  智者具慧眼,奮勇求精進;
W05n0046_p0088a15║  世間諸罪惡,遠離不沾身。

W05n0046_p0088a18║  如是我聞:一時,世尊在捨衛城祇樹給孤獨園住。
W05n0046_p0088a19║爾時眾多兒童在捨衛城和祇陀林之間捕打遊魚。爾時
W05n0046_p0088a20║朝時,世尊著衣持缽,入城乞食,於捨衛城與祇陀林之
W05n0046_p0088a21║間,見眾多兒童捕打遊魚,即上前問曰:「諸童,汝等害怕
W05n0046_p0088a22║痛苦否?汝等喜歡痛苦否?」兒童答曰:「世尊,我等害怕
W05n0046_p0088a23║痛苦,不喜歡痛苦。」
W05n0046_p0088a24║  爾時,世尊如是知已,即興而說:
W05n0046_p0088a25║  怕苦不喜苦,明暗莫作惡;
W05n0046_p0089a01║  若有惡業作,苦報難逃脫。

W05n0046_p0089a06║起,整袈裟衣,偏袒一肩,向世尊合掌行禮,而白世尊言:
W05n0046_p0089a07║「大德世尊,初夜已過,比丘眾坐等已久,請世尊為比丘
W05n0046_p0089a08║說波羅提木叉。」阿難說已,世尊默然。中夜過時,阿難
W05n0046_p0089a09║尊者再從座起,整袈裟衣,偏袒一肩,向世尊合掌禮拜而
W05n0046_p0089a10║白世尊言:「大德世尊,入夜已久,中夜已過;比丘眾坐等
W05n0046_p0089a11║良久,請世尊為比丘說波羅提木叉。」世尊仍然默不作
W05n0046_p0089a12║聲。至後夜過去,晨曦昇起,天將亮時,阿難從座而起,
W05n0046_p0089a13║整袈裟衣,偏袒一肩,向佛合掌禮拜,而三告佛言:「大德
W05n0046_p0089a14║世尊,後夜已過,晨曦昇起,天將黎明;比丘眾坐等已久,
W05n0046_p0089a15║請世尊為比丘說波羅提木叉。」爾時佛曰:「阿難,僧團不
W05n0046_p0089a16║淨。」時大目犍連自念:「世尊說僧團不淨,不知所指
W05n0046_p0089a17║何人。」於是大目犍連以心審察每一比丘,發現比丘眾中有
W05n0046_p0089a18║一人犯有罪過,積有惡業,非沙門而自稱沙門,非梵行而
W05n0046_p0089a19║自稱梵行;身內污濁,貪髒充滿。阿難見此人坐於比丘
W05n0046_p0089a20║眾中,即從座而起,趨近而告言:「世尊已發現汝!汝當
W05n0046_p0089a21║起,汝不當與比丘共住。」那人聽後,默然不動。阿難再
W05n0046_p0089a22║告:「世尊已發現汝!汝當起,汝不當與比丘共住。」那人
W05n0046_p0089a23║仍是默然不動。阿難三說,那人仍是默然不動。大目犍
W05n0046_p0089a24║連見此情景,便捉其臂膀,將其推出門去,並關閉門閂。
W05n0046_p0089a25║大目犍連回見世尊而白佛言:「大德,我已將那人攆出,
W05n0046_p0090a01║現僧團已淨,請為比丘眾說波羅提木叉。」世尊曰:「奇
W05n0046_p0090a02║哉,目犍連!奇哉,目犍連!如此愚人竟強坐比丘眾中,
W05n0046_p0090a03║直到被攆。」
W05n0046_p0090a04║  爾時,世尊告比丘曰:「諸比丘,自今以後,我不再作
W05n0046_p0090a05║布薩,不再說波羅提木叉。諸比丘,今後汝等自作布薩,
W05n0046_p0090a06║自說波羅提木叉。諸比丘,僧團不淨,如來不作布薩,不
W05n0046_p0090a07║說波羅提木叉。
W05n0046_p0090a08║  「諸比丘,大海具有奇妙稀有之八法,為阿羅漢所喜
W05n0046_p0090a09║愛。八法云何?
W05n0046_p0090a10║  「一、諸比丘,大海漸次而深,漸次而下,而無陡壁懸
W05n0046_p0090a11║崖。諸阿羅漢見此,心生喜愛。此為大海所具有之第一
W05n0046_p0090a12║奇妙稀有之法。
W05n0046_p0090a13║  「二、復次,諸比丘,大海穩健,不越海岸,諸阿羅漢見
W05n0046_p0090a14║而喜愛。此為大海所具有之第二奇妙稀有之法。
W05n0046_p0090a15║  「三、復次,諸比丘,大海不與死屍共處;海中若有屍
W05n0046_p0090a16║體,必即沖到岸上。此亦使阿羅漢見而生喜。此為大海
W05n0046_p0090a17║所具有之第三奇妙稀有之法。

W05n0046_p0091a08║稀有之法。大海具此八法,而為阿羅漢眾所喜愛、所樂

W05n0046_p0091a13║崖。同樣,佛之教法、戒律,亦是漸次而深;故當次第而
W05n0046_p0091a14║學,次第而行,次第而證。不可一蹴而就,成阿羅漢。此
W05n0046_p0091a15║為佛教所具第一奇妙稀有之法,而為比丘所喜愛、所樂

W05n0046_p0091a17║  「二、復次,諸比丘,大海穩健,不越海岸。同樣,我所
W05n0046_p0091a18║制之戒律、學處,聲聞弟子從不違犯。此為佛教所具第

W05n0046_p0091a21║體,即沖至岸上。同樣,如僧團中有人犯戒,惡行不淨,

W05n0046_p0091a23║充身,僧眾則不與共住。比丘眾必聚而共議,將其驅除。

W05n0046_p0093a14║解思維,但因我在家居住,不易潔如瑩貝,淨修梵行。我
W05n0046_p0093a15║當剃除鬚髮,穿著袈裟,出家修行。」
W05n0046_p0093a16║  時蘇那.古提幹那居士即往大迦旃延尊者所,禮尊
W05n0046_p0093a17║者已,坐於一旁,而白尊者言:「大德,我閒靜自思,聖者
W05n0046_p0093a18║大迦旃延尊者說法開示,我如法悟解思維,但因我在家
W05n0046_p0093a19║居住,不易潔如瑩貝,淨修梵行。我當剃除鬚髮,穿著袈
W05n0046_p0093a20║裟,出家修行,請聖者大迦旃延為我剃度。」
W05n0046_p0093a21║  如是說已,大迦旃延即告蘇那.古提幹那居士曰:
W05n0046_p0093a22║「蘇那,盡形壽一食獨臥之梵行甚難實行,汝可在家依諸
W05n0046_p0093a23║佛教誡,適時實行一食獨臥之梵行。」蘇那.古提幹那居
W05n0046_p0093a24║士即打消出家念頭。
W05n0046_p0093a25║  未久,蘇那.古提幹那居士閑靜自思,又起是念:「聖
W05n0046_p0094a01║者大迦旃延說法開示,我如法悟解思維,但因在家居住,
W05n0046_p0094a02║不易潔如瑩貝,淨修梵行。我當剃落鬚髮,穿著袈裟,出
W05n0046_p0094a03║家修行。」如是思已,又至大迦旃延所,請求為其披剃。
W05n0046_p0094a04║大迦旃延尊者再次勸他在家修行,蘇那居士出家之念頭
W05n0046_p0094a05║再次打消。又未久,蘇那居士三往大迦旃延所,禮尊
W05n0046_p0094a06║者已,坐於一旁而白尊者言:「大德,我閒靜自思,聖者大迦
W05n0046_p0094a07║旃延說法開示,我如法悟解思維,但因在家居住,不易潔
W05n0046_p0094a08║如瑩貝,淨修梵行。我當剃除鬚髮,穿著袈裟,出家修
W05n0046_p0094a09║行。請聖者大迦旃延為我披剃。」
W05n0046_p0094a10║  時大迦旃延尊者即度蘇那.古提幹那居士出家。時
W05n0046_p0094a11║阿般提國南部僅有幾位比丘。大迦旃延歷時三年,艱辛
W05n0046_p0094a12║徵集,方得比丘十人,為蘇那尊者授具足戒。
W05n0046_p0094a13║  如是度過雨季,蘇那尊者於閑靜中心生一念:「我從
W05n0046_p0094a14║未親眼見到世尊,祇聽人說世尊如是如是。若師傅應
W05n0046_p0094a15║允,我當面見薄伽梵.阿羅漢.三藐三菩提。」
W05n0046_p0094a16║  時蘇那尊者於夕時從定中起,往大迦旃延所。即
W05n0046_p0094a17║至,禮尊者畢,坐於一旁,而白尊者言:「大德,我獨自於
W05n0046_p0094a18║閑靜處心生一念:我從未親眼見到世尊,祇聽人說世尊
W05n0046_p0094a19║如是如是。若師傅應允,我當面見薄伽梵.阿羅漢.三藐
W05n0046_p0094a20║三菩提。」如是言已,大迦旃延尊者曰:「蘇那,善哉!善
W05n0046_p0094a21║哉!汝可往見薄伽梵.阿羅漢.三藐三菩提。蘇那,世尊
W05n0046_p0094a22║諸根清淨,令人歡喜,心念寂靜,最上寂靜,最上調御,守
W05n0046_p0094a23║護諸根,是為龍象。汝去謁見,見時,汝當代我頂禮佛
W05n0046_p0094a24║足,問候世尊無病無災,安好無恙。」「如是,尊者!」蘇那
W05n0046_p0094a25║歡喜應諾,從座而起,禮拜師傅,行右繞之禮。然後收拾
W05n0046_p0095a01║坐臥具,著衣持缽,遊向捨衛城。次弟遊行,終到舍衛城
W05n0046_p0095a02║祇陀林給孤獨園世尊所。既至,禮世尊已,坐於一旁,而
W05n0046_p0095a03║白世尊言:「大德世尊,我師大迦旃延頂禮佛足,問候世
W05n0046_p0095a04║尊無病無災,安好無恙。」世尊問曰:「比丘,汝能安忍否?
W05n0046_p0095a05║能得供養否?遠道而來,一路辛苦否?」蘇那尊者答言:
W05n0046_p0095a06║「大德世尊,我能安忍,能得供養,雖遠道而來,並不辛
W05n0046_p0095a07║苦。」
W05n0046_p0095a08║  爾時世尊告阿難曰:「阿難,為這位客座比丘敷設坐
W05n0046_p0095a09║臥具。」時阿難自念:「世尊命我為這位新來比丘敷設坐
W05n0046_p0095a10║臥具,世尊似欲同此蘇那比丘共住。」於是,阿難即於佛
W05n0046_p0095a11║處為蘇那比丘敷設坐臥具。
W05n0046_p0095a12║  時世尊於夜間在室外久坐,然後洗足入室。蘇那尊
W05n0046_p0095a13║者也在室外久坐,之後纔洗足入室。天至黎明,世尊起
W05n0046_p0095a14║身對蘇那尊者曰:「比丘,汝當講說一法。」「如是,世尊。」
W05n0046_p0095a15║蘇那應諾,即誦說《八頌經品》的十六部經。蘇那尊者頌
W05n0046_p0095a16║已,世尊曰:「善哉!善哉!比丘,《八頌經品》所有十六
W05n0046_p0095a17║部經汝已善學、善憶,並能明其義理。聲音亦好,響亮無
W05n0046_p0095a18║誤,語調優美。比丘戒臘多少?」蘇那答曰:「大德世尊,
W05n0046_p0095a19║我戒臘一年。」世尊問曰:「汝之出家,為何延誤許久?」蘇
W05n0046_p0095a20║那答曰:「大德世尊,貪慾之禍患,我早已明察;因家中諸
W05n0046_p0095a21║多俗務,未得機緣。」
W05n0046_p0095a22║  爾時世尊,如是知已,即興而說:

W05n0046_p0095a24║  深明涅槃法,不戀諸惡道。

W05n0046_p0096a14║提婆達多尊者見阿難在王捨城托缽乞食,即往見阿難尊
W05n0046_p0096a15║者,告言:「阿難尊者,自今日起,我將不與世尊及僧眾共
W05n0046_p0096a16║作布薩和羯磨。」阿難從王舍城托缽回,飯食已,至世尊
W05n0046_p0096a17║所,禮世尊已,在一旁坐下,而白佛言:「大德,我於朝時
W05n0046_p0096a18║著衣持缽,入王舍城乞食。時提婆達多見我在王舍城乞
W05n0046_p0096a19║食,便來見我,對我言道:『阿難尊者,自今日起,我將不
W05n0046_p0096a20║與世尊及僧眾共作布薩和羯磨。』大德世尊,提婆達多另
W05n0046_p0096a21║作布薩和羯磨,是欲分裂僧團。」

W05n0046_p0098a14║於正知。阿難,如來若有所望,可住世一劫,乃至更久。」

W05n0046_p0099a22║不久將入般涅槃。三月之後,如來即入般涅槃。」爾時世

W05n0046_p0100a09║人,皆長腋毛長指甲,持種種沙門什物用品,從距佛不遠

W05n0046_p0100a11║著地,合掌向其禮拜,並說:「諸大德,我乃憍薩羅國波斯

W05n0046_p0100a19║又須長久,方能知之,短時不能;又須認真思考,方能知
W05n0046_p0100a20║之,否則不能;又須有智之人,方能知之,無智者則不能
W05n0046_p0100a21║知。大王,從言談,可知其人是否純淨。但亦須長久,短

W05n0046_p0100a23║者則不能知。能力,必於危難中方可知之,然亦須久時,

W05n0046_p0101a02║奇妙。大德世尊,彼等乃我之屬從,本為暗探,偽裝行

W05n0046_p0101a04║刻已洗除灰垢,淋浴塗油,梳理髮鬚,穿著白衣,享受五

W05n0046_p0102a21║飯食訖,往見世尊。行禮畢,坐於一旁,白世尊言:「大德
W05n0046_p0102a22║世尊,各種沙門、婆羅門外道同住於舍衛城。他們各有
W05n0046_p0102a23║所信,各有所見,各有所好。有說世界恒常,有說世界無
W05n0046_p0102a24║常……有說法如是,不如他;有說法非如他,應如是。如
W05n0046_p0102a25║此爭吵、鬥爭、辯論,唇槍舌劍,互相攻擊。」
W05n0046_p0103a01║  世尊曰:「諸比丘,諸外道眾是盲者,無眼目者;不知
W05n0046_p0103a02║利害者;不知如法、非法者。因其不知利害,不知如法、
W05n0046_p0103a03║非法,所以有說法如是,不如它;有說法非如它,應如是。
W05n0046_p0103a04║如此互相爭吵、鬥爭、辯論,唇槍舌劍,互相攻擊。
W05n0046_p0103a05║  「諸比丘,從前此王捨城曾有一王。王喚一家臣曰:
W05n0046_p0103a06║『汝去,將城中所有先天盲人悉皆招來。』『如是大王。』家
W05n0046_p0103a07║臣應諾而去,將全部生盲召入宮中,向國王覆命。王曰:
W05n0046_p0103a08║『汝將一頭大象展示諸盲。』家臣應諾,將一頭大象置於

W05n0046_p0109a07║爭,互相以拳相擊,以石相擊,以棍棒、武器相擊。遭死

W05n0046_p0109a09║  爾時朝時,眾比丘著衣持缽,入王捨城乞食。乞食
W05n0046_p0109a10║回,齋食訖,往世尊所。禮世尊已,坐於一旁,而白世尊

W05n0046_p0109a12║爭吵、鬥爭,互相以拳相擊,以棍相擊,以武器相擊。遭

W05n0046_p0110a01║燈飛舞,落於死傷。爾時世尊見飛蛾繞燈飛舞,落於死

W05n0046_p0110a05║  見聞生貪好,慾望成結縛。

W05n0046_p0110a11║言:「大德世尊,諸如來、應供、正等正覺佛未現世之時,
W05n0046_p0110a12║諸外道得信奉供養,得尊重、禮敬、佈施,得衣食、坐臥
W05n0046_p0110a13║具、醫藥。諸如來、應供、正等覺佛現世之後,諸外道則
W05n0046_p0110a14║不得信奉供養,不得尊重、禮敬、布施,不得衣食、坐臥
W05n0046_p0110a15║具、醫藥。大德世尊,現在世尊及比丘眾皆得信奉供養,
W05n0046_p0110a16║得尊重、禮敬、佈施,得衣食、坐臥具、醫藥。」
W05n0046_p0110a17║  世尊曰:「阿難,汝所言極是。諸如來、應供、正遍知
W05n0046_p0110a18║佛現世之前,諸外道得信奉供養,得尊重、禮敬、佈施,得
W05n0046_p0110a19║衣食、坐臥具、醫藥。但諸如來、應供、正遍知佛現世之
W05n0046_p0110a20║後,諸外道則不得信奉供養,不得尊重、禮敬、佈施,不得
W05n0046_p0110a21║衣食、坐臥具、醫藥。現在如來及比丘眾皆得信奉供養,
W05n0046_p0110a22║得尊重、禮敬、佈施,得衣食、坐臥具、醫藥。」

W05n0046_p0113a10║等見彼比丘否?他顏色醜陋難看,身材短小,受比丘眾
W05n0046_p0113a11║嘲笑譏諷。」
W05n0046_p0113a12║  諸比丘答言:「如是,世尊。」
W05n0046_p0113a13║  世尊曰:「諸比丘,此比丘有大神通,大威力;能入難
W05n0046_p0113a14║入之定,稀有難得。彼虔誠出家,修最上梵行,現生得羅
W05n0046_p0113a15║漢果。」
W05n0046_p0113a16║  爾時,世尊如是說已,即興而說偈:

W05n0046_p0114a21║  過去無垢業,今世亦仍然;

W05n0046_p0114a25║  如是我聞:一時,世尊與大比丘眾在末羅國遊化,到
W05n0046_p0115a01║達名為荼那的婆羅門村。村中婆羅門聽說釋迦沙門喬
W05n0046_p0115a02║答摩與大比丘眾到本村遊化,便以草和糠投入水井,填
W05n0046_p0115a03║至井口,以「使那些禿和尚喝不到水」。
W05n0046_p0115a04║  時世尊到路邊一棵樹下,敷座而坐,告阿難曰:「阿
W05n0046_p0115a05║難,汝去從那井裏為我弄些水來。」阿難白佛言:「大德世
W05n0046_p0115a06║尊,荼那村婆羅門已用草和糠把井填滿,以使我們無水
W05n0046_p0115a07║可喝。」世尊再告阿難「取水」,阿難言:「井已填滿,無法
W05n0046_p0115a08║取水。」世尊三告阿難取水,阿難纔應諾而去,持缽去到
W05n0046_p0115a09║井處。
W05n0046_p0115a10║  時阿難見草、糠已在井外,井中清水澄澄,滿至井
W05n0046_p0115a11║口,似欲溢出。阿難思念:「奇哉!怪哉!如來有大神
W05n0046_p0115a12║通,大威力!我來取水,草、糠便出井外,井中清水澄澄,
W05n0046_p0115a13║滿至井口,似欲溢出。」即以缽取水,回至佛所而白佛言:
W05n0046_p0115a14║「大德世尊,如來有大神通,大威力!我去取水時,草和
W05n0046_p0115a15║糠已在井外。井中清水澄澄,滿至井口,似欲溢出。現
W05n0046_p0115a16║已取來,請世尊飲用,請善逝飲用。」
W05n0046_p0115a17║  爾時,世尊如是知已,即興而說:
W05n0046_p0115a18║  隨時可得水,何需有水井?
W05n0046_p0115a19║  貪根既斷除,我何需飲用?

W05n0046_p0115a22║  如是我聞:一時,世尊在憍賞彌城瞿師羅園住。時
W05n0046_p0115a23║優填王幸御苑,內宮失火,薩瑪沃蒂等五百宮女死於火

W05n0046_p0115a25║  時在朝時,諸比丘著衣持缽,入憍賞彌城乞食。乞
W05n0046_p0116a01║食回,飯食已。往至佛所,禮世尊已,而問世尊言:「大德
W05n0046_p0116a02║世尊,優填王幸御苑時,內宮失火,薩瑪沃蒂等五百宮女

W05n0046_p0116a04║  世尊答曰:「諸比丘,彼女居士中有得預流果者,有
W05n0046_p0116a05║得一來果者,有得不還果者。諸比丘,彼等皆已證得果
W05n0046_p0116a06║位。」
W05n0046_p0116a07║  爾時,世尊如是說已,即興而說偈:

W05n0046_p0116a09║  雖顯圓滿相,與實不相符。

W05n0046_p0118a07║  禪增遠輪迴,即可斷生死。
W05n0046_p0118a08║  既已無生死,諸苦自了終。

W05n0046_p0118a10║    五、純陀經
W05n0046_p0118a11║  如是我聞:一時,世尊與大比丘眾在末羅國遊化,到
W05n0046_p0118a12║達波婆城,住於該城鐵匠之子純陀的芒果園中。時鐵匠
W05n0046_p0118a13║之子純陀聞知世尊及大比丘眾遊到本地,住於自己的芒
W05n0046_p0118a14║果園中,便去謁見佛陀。至佛所,禮拜已,坐於一旁。世
W05n0046_p0118a15║尊以法語開示純陀,使其信受、精進、喜悅。純陀受世尊
W05n0046_p0118a16║開示而白佛言:「大德世尊,請世尊與比丘眾明日受我齋
W05n0046_p0118a17║供。」世尊默然應諾。純陀知世尊已經應諾,從座而起,
W05n0046_p0118a18║右繞作禮,告辭而去。
W05n0046_p0118a19║  純陀次日在家中備足嚼食、食品和豬肉,便去邀請
W05n0046_p0118a20║世尊:「大德世尊,今正是時,飯食已經備好。」時在朝時,
W05n0046_p0118a21║世尊著衣持缽,同比丘眾到鐵匠之子純陀家,敷座而坐。
W05n0046_p0118a22║坐已,告純陀曰:「純陀,汝把所備之豬肉供我,將嚼食和
W05n0046_p0118a23║食品供養僧眾。」鐵匠之子純陀應諾:「如是,世尊。」即取
W05n0046_p0118a24║已備好之豬肉供世尊食用,而將嚼食和食品供比丘眾。
W05n0046_p0118a25║  時世尊又告純陀曰:「純陀,豬肉若有剩餘,應將其
W05n0046_p0119a01║埋於地中。純陀,在此天、魔、梵天所居之世上,在此婆
W05n0046_p0119a02║羅門、神、人所居之人世間,除如來之外,我不知有誰還
W05n0046_p0119a03║能消受這種豬肉。」「如是,世尊。」鐵匠之子純陀遵佛囑
W05n0046_p0119a04║將食剩之豬肉埋於地下。埋已,回世尊所,禮世尊已,坐
W05n0046_p0119a05║於一旁。世尊又以法語開示純陀,使其信受、精進、喜
W05n0046_p0119a06║悅。
W05n0046_p0119a07║  爾時,世尊食純陀之飯食已,即患發赤痢,疼痛劇
W05n0046_p0119a08║烈,幾至死地。但世尊仍是正念正智,安忍不動。時世
W05n0046_p0119a09║尊告阿難尊者曰:「阿難,我們去拘屍那羅城。」「如是,世尊。」阿難應諾。
W05n0046_p0119a10║  鐵匠子純陀,以飯供佛陀;
W05n0046_p0119a11║  世尊食用後,赤痢大發作。
W05n0046_p0119a12║  病劇幾至死,如是我聞說。
W05n0046_p0119a13║  豬肉食用後,世尊瀉肚重;
W05n0046_p0119a14║  於是告示曰:「我往拘屍城。」
W05n0046_p0119a15║  爾時世尊離開大路,至一樹下,告阿難尊者曰:「阿
W05n0046_p0119a16║難,將僧伽利衣四折敷座,我甚疲憊,欲坐下休息。」「如
W05n0046_p0119a17║是,世尊!」阿難應諾,即以僧伽利四折敷座。世尊坐於
W05n0046_p0119a18║座上,又告阿難曰:「阿難,汝為我取水,我渴欲飲。」阿難
W05n0046_p0119a19║答言:「大德世尊,此處水少,剛有五百車輛淌過,水甚混
W05n0046_p0119a20║濁。大德,古魯沓河距此不遠,那水清淳甘美,可到彼處
W05n0046_p0119a21║再飲,亦可在彼處沖涼。」世尊如是再說:「阿難,為我取
W05n0046_p0119a22║水來,我渴欲飲。」阿難仍說可到古魯沓河再飲水、沖涼。
W05n0046_p0119a23║世尊三說:「阿難,為我取水來,我渴欲飲。」「如是,世
W05n0046_p0119a24║尊!」阿難應諾,持缽往取河水。
W05n0046_p0120a01║  此河車輪涉過,水少而濁,翻騰流淌。但阿難尊者
W05n0046_p0120a02║來取水時卻變為清澈明淨。阿難驚喜:「奇哉!奇哉!
W05n0046_p0120a03║前所未有!世尊有大神通,大威力!奇妙之極,實為罕
W05n0046_p0120a04║見!此水車輪剛剛涉過,水本少而混濁,現卻變為清
W05n0046_p0120a05║澈明淨;滿河之水,靜靜蕩漾。」即以缽取水,返回佛所。阿
W05n0046_p0120a06║難白佛言:「大德世尊,奇哉!奇哉!前所未有!如來有
W05n0046_p0120a07║大神通,大威力!此河剛有車輪涉過,水本少而混濁,翻
W05n0046_p0120a08║騰流淌;我去取水時,卻變為清澈明淨;滿河之水靜靜蕩
W05n0046_p0120a09║漾。現水已取來,請世尊飲用。」世尊即飲。
W05n0046_p0120a10║  爾時世尊同大比丘眾遊向古魯沓河,下河飲水、沐
W05n0046_p0120a11║浴,然後上岸,返回芒果園去。佛召純陀告曰:「純陀,將
W05n0046_p0120a12║僧伽利四折為我敷座。純陀,我疲憊欲臥。」「如是,世
W05n0046_p0120a13║尊!」純陀應諾,即為世尊四折僧伽利衣,敷座獻上。世
W05n0046_p0120a14║尊右脅朝下,左足累置右足之上,作獅子臥。正念正智,
W05n0046_p0120a15║思維起想。純陀坐於世尊近前。
W05n0046_p0120a16║  天下無可比,世尊如來佛;
W05n0046_p0120a17║  疲憊衰弱甚,來至古魯河。
W05n0046_p0120a18║  下至河水中,河水極清澈。
W05n0046_p0120a19║  沐浴飲水後,返回芒果林;
W05n0046_p0120a20║  比丘所擁簇,世尊為率領。
W05n0046_p0120a21║  佛法創立者,為仙為賢聖。
W05n0046_p0120a22║  告訴純陀曰:「僧衣四重折;
W05n0046_p0120a23║  我今欲側臥,疲憊難支撐」。
W05n0046_p0120a24║  純陀應聲「是」,折衣為四重。
W05n0046_p0120a25║  世尊確疲憊,即刻側身臥;
W05n0046_p0121a01║  純陀坐近前,守護世尊側。
W05n0046_p0121a02║  爾時世尊告阿難曰:「阿難,會有人對鐵匠之子純陀
W05n0046_p0121a03║說:『純陀,如來最後是用了你供的齋食而涅槃的。』純陀
W05n0046_p0121a04║聽後會悔恨、惱喪。阿難,汝當排除純陀之悔恨惱喪心
W05n0046_p0121a05║情,而對他說:『如來最後用了汝之齋飯而入涅槃,於汝
W05n0046_p0121a06║有利。此乃我於佛所親耳所聞,我在佛前當面領受。佛
W05n0046_p0121a07║曰:有兩種供食果報最佳,功德最大。兩種云何?一種
W05n0046_p0121a08║供食用已,如來成無上正等正覺;一種供食用已,如來證
W05n0046_p0121a09║無餘涅槃。此二種供食果報最善最大。純陀尊者由此
W05n0046_p0121a10║已積長壽業,已積顏色美好業,已積生天業,已積權勢增
W05n0046_p0121a11║長業。』阿難,汝當如此排除鐵匠之子純陀之悔恨惱喪。」
W05n0046_p0121a12║  爾時,世尊如是知已,即興而說:
W05n0046_p0121a13║  佈施與捐贈,可增慈善心;
W05n0046_p0121a14║  持戒調伏者,不存怨與恨。
W05n0046_p0121a15║  有智有慧者,遠離諸種惡;
W05n0046_p0121a16║  涅槃證得時,貪瞋癡斷盡。

W05n0046_p0121a18║    六、波吒離村人經
W05n0046_p0121a19║  如是我聞:一時,世尊與大比丘眾在摩揭陀國遊化,
W05n0046_p0121a20║到達波吒離村。時波吒離村優婆塞來至佛所,行禮已
W05n0046_p0121a21║畢,坐於一旁,而白世尊言:「大德世尊,請接受我等供養
W05n0046_p0121a22║堂捨。」世尊默允。波吒離優婆塞即從座起,右繞禮佛,
W05n0046_p0121a23║即往堂捨去。既至,即鋪設敷物,安置座位,擺放水罐、
W05n0046_p0121a24║油燈。而後又返回佛所,敬禮已畢,站立一旁,而白佛
W05n0046_p0121a25║言:「大德世尊,堂捨中鋪設已畢,座位、水罐、油燈已備,
W05n0046_p0122a01║請世尊往,今正是時。」
W05n0046_p0122a02║  世尊即著衣持缽,同大比丘眾往至堂捨。既至,即
W05n0046_p0122a03║洗足而入;背靠中柱,面東而坐。比丘眾亦洗足入內,背
W05n0046_p0122a04║靠後壁,圍繞世尊,面東而坐。波吒離村優婆塞亦洗足
W05n0046_p0122a05║入內,背靠東壁,面西而坐。
W05n0046_p0122a06║  爾時,世尊告波吒離村諸優婆塞曰:「諸位施主,破
W05n0046_p0122a07║戒者得五種罪患。何云為五?破戒者不守戒規,放逸揮
W05n0046_p0122a08║霍;此為破戒者第一罪患。復次,破戒者罪名流布;此為
W05n0046_p0122a09║破戒者第二罪患。復次,破戒者入於大眾,所謂剎帝利
W05n0046_p0122a10║眾、婆羅門眾、居士眾、沙門眾,自感慚羞;此為破戒者第
W05n0046_p0122a11║三罪患。復次,破戒者迷惑致死;此為破戒者第四罪患。
W05n0046_p0122a12║復次,破戒者死後墜入惡生、地獄;此為破戒者第五罪
W05n0046_p0122a13║患。諸居士,破戒者有此五種罪患。
W05n0046_p0122a14║  「諸居士,持戒者守持淨戒,有五種功德。何云為五?
W05n0046_p0122a15║因其持戒、精進,必積大財;此為持戒者第一功德。復
W05n0046_p0122a16║次,持戒者持淨戒,必得稱譽,此為持戒者第二功德。復
W05n0046_p0122a17║次,持淨戒者入於大眾,如剎帝利眾、婆羅門眾、居士眾、
W05n0046_p0122a18║沙門眾,無有慚愧恐懼;此為持戒者第三功德。復次,持
W05n0046_p0122a19║戒者死時不迷惑,此為持戒者第四功德。復次,持戒者
W05n0046_p0122a20║持淨戒,死後必生善趣,入天界,此為持戒者第五種功
W05n0046_p0122a21║德。諸居士,這便是持戒者持淨戒當得之五種功德。」
W05n0046_p0122a22║  爾時,世尊以法語開示波吒離村優婆塞眾,使其信
W05n0046_p0122a23║受、精進、喜悅。說法已,告曰:「諸居士,今時已晚,汝等
W05n0046_p0122a24║當去。」時波吒離村諸居士歡喜信受,即從座起,敬禮右
W05n0046_p0122a25║繞而去。波吒離村居士離去未久,世尊即入空室。
W05n0046_p0123a01║  爾時,摩揭陀國大臣須尼陀和婆沙迦羅欲於波吒離
W05n0046_p0123a02║村建立城防,以御離車諸王。時有數千天神守護波吒離
W05n0046_p0123a03║村財產物品。國中高級王公大臣欲於有高級天神守護
W05n0046_p0123a04║之地建立宅舍;中級王公大臣欲於中級天神守護之地建
W05n0046_p0123a05║立宅舍;下級王公大臣欲於下級天神守護之地建立宅
W05n0046_p0123a06║舍。時世尊以超人之淨眼觀見此一切。

W05n0046_p0123a08║誰欲在波吒離村建立城防?」阿難答曰:「大德世尊,摩揭
W05n0046_p0123a09║陀國大臣須尼陀和婆沙迦羅欲於波吒離村建立城防,以
W05n0046_p0123a10║御離車諸王。」
W05n0046_p0123a11║  世尊曰:「阿難,是摩揭陀國大臣須尼陀和婆沙迦羅
W05n0046_p0123a12║與忉利天諸天神商議,在波吒離村建造城防,以御離車
W05n0046_p0123a13║諸王。阿難,我已以超人天眼觀見,將有數千天神守護
W05n0046_p0123a14║此城。國中高級王公大臣欲在高級天神守護之地區建
W05n0046_p0123a15║造宅舍;中級王公大臣欲在中級天神守護之地區建造宅
W05n0046_p0123a16║舍;下級王公大臣欲在下級天神守護之地區建造宅舍。
W05n0046_p0123a17║阿難,新建之波吒離城中,將有聖者住地;有商業區,各
W05n0046_p0123a18║地貨品將集於此,將有甚大場地供其開箱理貨。阿難,
W05n0046_p0123a19║將建之波吒離城將遭三災:火、水和內亂。」
W05n0046_p0123a20║  未久,摩揭陀國大臣須尼陀和婆沙迦羅來至佛所,
W05n0046_p0123a21║問候言歡。問候言歡已,站立一旁,而白世尊言:「大德

W05n0046_p0123a25║時朝時,世尊與大比丘眾著衣持缽,往摩揭陀國大臣須
W05n0046_p0124a01║尼陀和婆沙迦羅家。既至,坐於已備之座位。摩揭陀國
W05n0046_p0124a02║大臣須尼陀和婆沙迦羅親以食供奉。食已,世尊移手出
W05n0046_p0124a03║缽。時須尼陀與婆沙迦羅守於近旁,坐於矮位之上。世
W05n0046_p0124a04║尊隨喜,即興說偈:
W05n0046_p0124a05║  假若某地區,有某賢達居;
W05n0046_p0124a06║  賢達所供者,必善持戒律;
W05n0046_p0124a07║  修習諸梵行,並能自調御。
W05n0046_p0124a08║  若有守護神,當為作功德;
W05n0046_p0124a09║  神既受尊崇,必然護其所。
W05n0046_p0124a10║  人得神護愛,如子受母慈;
W05n0046_p0124a11║  得神護佑者,總見吉祥事。
W05n0046_p0124a12║  世尊說此偈已,即從座起,踏上歸途。須尼陀和婆
W05n0046_p0124a13║沙迦羅跟隨其後,並說:「今日沙門喬答摩行出何門,其
W05n0046_p0124a14║門則名為『喬答摩門』,過恒河何渡口,則名該渡口為『喬
W05n0046_p0124a15║答摩渡口』。」
W05n0046_p0124a16║  爾時世尊所經之門,果被命名為「喬答摩門」。世尊
W05n0046_p0124a17║到恒河邊時,河水漲滿,乃至烏鴉立於河岸便可飲及河
W05n0046_p0124a18║水。欲渡河者,或求舟船,或尋木筏。時世尊及比丘眾,
W05n0046_p0124a19║於手臂伸屈之頃刻,即從此岸消失而到達彼岸。
W05n0046_p0124a20║  爾時世尊見許多欲渡者,即興而說:
W05n0046_p0124a21║  欲渡輪迴海,或渡愛慾河;
W05n0046_p0124a22║  須過聖道橋,以不沾泥濁。
W05n0046_p0124a23║  若過小河溝,亦需木筏做;
W05n0046_p0124a24║  慧人有聖道,無依自渡過。

W05n0046_p0125a01║    七、歧路經
W05n0046_p0125a02║  如是我聞:一時,世尊與隨從僧那伽薩瑪拉尊者遊
W05n0046_p0125a03║行於憍薩羅大道之上。時那伽薩瑪拉尊者見一歧路而
W05n0046_p0125a04║白佛言:「大德世尊,那是一條路,我等可同行彼路。」世
W05n0046_p0125a05║尊告那伽薩瑪拉曰:「那伽薩瑪拉,應走之路,此路也。
W05n0046_p0125a06║我等同行此路。」那伽薩瑪拉如是再說:「大德世尊,那是
W05n0046_p0125a07║一條路,我等可同行彼路。」如是乃至三說。世尊亦如是
W05n0046_p0125a08║再告那伽薩瑪拉尊者:「那伽薩瑪拉,應走之路,此路也。
W05n0046_p0125a09║我等同行此路。」乃至三告。時那伽薩瑪拉尊者便將世
W05n0046_p0125a10║尊之衣缽置於地上,道一聲「此是世尊之衣缽」,便沿彼
W05n0046_p0125a11║路行去。
W05n0046_p0125a12║  時那伽薩瑪拉於途中遭遇賊寇,被拳打腳踢,缽被
W05n0046_p0125a13║打破,僧伽利衣被撕毀。那伽薩瑪拉持破衣破缽往見世
W05n0046_p0125a14║尊。禮世尊已,坐於一旁,而白世尊言:「大德世尊,我沿
W05n0046_p0125a15║彼路行時,遇賊寇,遭歐打;缽被打破,衣被撕毀。」
W05n0046_p0125a16║  爾時,世尊如是知已,即興而說:
W05n0046_p0125a17║  智者與無智,同行亦共住;
W05n0046_p0125a18║  智者知真諦,總能遠謬誤。
W05n0046_p0125a19║  如鷸飲奶汁,總將水排除。

W05n0046_p0125a21║    八、毗捨佉經
W05n0046_p0125a22║  如是我聞:一時,世尊在捨衛城東園彌伽羅母講堂
W05n0046_p0125a23║住。時彌伽羅母毗捨佉所喜愛之孫女去世,毗捨佉衣服
W05n0046_p0125a24║濡濕,頭髮濡濕,於午時至佛所,禮佛已,坐於一旁。世
W05n0046_p0125a25║尊問毗捨佉曰:「毗捨佉,汝如此將衣、髮濡濕,於此午
W05n0046_p0126a01║時,從何處來此?」毗捨佉答言:「大德世尊,我心愛之孫
W05n0046_p0126a02║女亡故。因此之故,我濡濕衣、髮,於午時來此。」
W05n0046_p0126a03║  世尊又問:「毗捨佉,汝願得眾多子孫,如捨衛城人
W05n0046_p0126a04║數否?」毗捨佉答言:「大德世尊,我願得眾多子孫,如舍衛城人數。」
W05n0046_p0126a05║  世尊問:「毗捨佉,捨衛城人每日死亡多少?」
W05n0046_p0126a06║  毗捨佉答言:「捨衛城人每日死亡人數或十,或九,
W05n0046_p0126a07║或八,或七,或六,或五,或四,或三,或二,或一。舍衛城
W05n0046_p0126a08║死人不止,無有定數。」
W05n0046_p0126a09║  世尊問曰:「毗捨佉,如是,汝能得一日不濡濕衣、髮
W05n0046_p0126a10║否?」
W05n0046_p0126a11║  毗捨佉答言:「如是,世尊,不能。我無需這般多子
W05n0046_p0126a12║孫。」
W05n0046_p0126a13║  世尊曰:「毗捨佉,有百愛者,有百苦者。有九十愛
W05n0046_p0126a14║者,有九十苦者。有八十愛者,有八十苦者。有七十愛
W05n0046_p0126a15║者,有七十苦者。有六十愛者,有六十苦者。有五十愛
W05n0046_p0126a16║者,有五十苦者。有四十愛者,有四十苦者。有三十愛
W05n0046_p0126a17║者,有三十苦者。有二十愛者,有二十苦者。有十愛者,
W05n0046_p0126a18║有十苦者。有九愛者,有九苦者。有八愛者,有八苦者。
W05n0046_p0126a19║有七愛者,有七苦者。有六愛者,有六苦者。有五愛者,
W05n0046_p0126a20║有五苦者。有四愛者,有四苦者。有三愛者,有三苦者。
W05n0046_p0126a21║有二愛者,有二苦者。有一愛者,有一苦者。無有愛者,
W05n0046_p0126a22║則無有苦,無有憂,無有煩惱,無有辛勞痛苦。」
W05n0046_p0126a23║  爾時,世尊如是說已,即興而說偈:
W05n0046_p0126a24║  世間多憂愁,悲傷與痛苦;
W05n0046_p0127a01║  所有這一切,均有「愛」生出。
W05n0046_p0127a02║  一旦無「愛」時,憂愁悲苦無。
W05n0046_p0127a03║  無有所愛者,可為安樂人;
W05n0046_p0127a04║  無憂無煩惱,清淨無垢塵。

W05n0046_p0127a06║    九、陀驃經(一)
W05n0046_p0127a07║  如是我聞:一時,世尊在王舍城竹林迦蘭陀迦園住。
W05n0046_p0127a08║時末羅子陀驃尊者至世尊所。既至,禮佛已,坐於一旁,
W05n0046_p0127a09║而白佛言:「大德世尊,今正是我般涅槃之時。」世尊曰:
W05n0046_p0127a10║「今正是時,汝當知時。」
W05n0046_p0127a11║  爾時陀驃即從座起,行右繞,禮世尊已,即上昇虛
W05n0046_p0127a12║空,結跏趺坐,修火遍,入四禪,從定中起而入般涅槃。
W05n0046_p0127a13║般涅槃後身被火化,無有餘燼;如燃酥油、麻油而不留灰
W05n0046_p0127a14║燼一般。
W05n0046_p0127a15║  爾時,世尊如是知已,即興而說:
W05n0046_p0127a16║  色身已壞已,諸想已滅已;
W05n0046_p0127a17║  諸受已冷卻,諸行皆入寂。
W05n0046_p0127a18║  諸識無所住,同滅無剩餘。

W05n0046_p0127a20║    十、陀驃經(二)
W05n0046_p0127a21║  如是我聞:一時,世尊在舍衛城祇樹給孤獨園住。
W05n0046_p0127a22║時世尊召喚比丘眾,比丘眾應諾已,世尊告比丘眾曰:
W05n0046_p0127a23║「諸比丘,末羅子陀驃上昇虛空,結跏趺坐;修火遍,入四
W05n0046_p0127a24║禪;從定中起而入般涅槃。身軀火化,無有灰燼;如燃酥
W05n0046_p0127a25║油、麻油而不留灰燼一般。」
W05n0046_p0128a01║  爾時,世尊如是說已,即興而說偈:
W05n0046_p0128a02║  鐵棒擊出火,火星漸熄沒;
W05n0046_p0128a03║  沒後無所存,不見亦無著。
W05n0046_p0128a04║  愛結斷除去,暴流亦渡過;
W05n0046_p0128a05║  無趣無所餘,達到涅槃樂。
